The Full Moon in Scorpio comes at the close of the eclipse portal, and brings us back into the gentler rhythm of regular lunations. It is a time to delve deep into our inner wisdom, access our intuition, and commune with the energies of the night. Known as the Pink Moon for the color of the moss pink phlox flower that blooms at this time, the April Full Moon is also known as: Moon of the Red Grass Appearing (Oglala), Sprouting Grass Moon (Tlingit), Moon of Blackberry (Choctaw), Flower Moon (Cherokee) and Moon of the Big Leaves (Apache). Anishinaabeg, or Ojibwe, Indigenous people of the Great Lakes region know it as Popogami Giizis or the Broken Snowshoe Moon.

For the Full Moon in Scorpio we take a look at the the final and highest of the three animal evolutions of Scorpio. These are the scorpion, the eagle, and finally, the phoenix.

1. Scorpion: At the initial stage, Scorpio embodies the qualities of the scorpion – secretive, instinctual, and driven by primal desires. They are often focused on survival and can be prone to jealousy and possessiveness.‍

2. Eagle: As Scorpio evolves, they transition into the eagle phase, where they gain perspective and rise above their instincts. They develop a sharper intuition, a keen sense of observation, and the ability to see situations from a higher vantage point. They become more strategic and are driven by a desire for transformation and growth.‍
