Full Moon in Scorpio Tues 4/23 at 4:50 p.m. PT

The Full Moon in Scorpio comes at the close of the eclipse portal, and brings us back into the gentler rhythm of regular lunations. It is a time to delve deep into our inner wisdom, access our intuition, and commune with the energies of the night.

May the depths of my emotions be a wellspring of wisdom,
A source of strength and compassion that guides me through life's challenges.
May I embrace every feeling as a precious gift,
Knowing that each emotion carries the potential for growth and transformation.
May my heart be open to love, both giving and receiving,
And may I find peace in the midst of life's storms.
May I journey into the depths of my soul with courage and grace,
And emerge stronger, wiser, and more deeply connected to myself and others.

The Full Moon in Scorpio comes at the close of the eclipse portal, and brings us back into the gentler rhythm of regular lunations. It is a time to delve deep into our inner wisdom, access our intuition, and commune with the energies of the night. Known as the Pink Moon for the color of the moss pink phlox flower that blooms at this time, the April Full Moon is also known as: Moon of the Red Grass Appearing (Oglala), Sprouting Grass Moon (Tlingit), Moon of Blackberry (Choctaw), Flower Moon (Cherokee) and Moon of the Big Leaves (Apache). Anishinaabeg, or Ojibwe, Indigenous people of the Great Lakes region know it as Popogami Giizis or the Broken Snowshoe Moon.

"When the Full Moon meets Scorpio, magic is in the air. This is one of the most intense Full Moons of the year. Ruled by water and the planet Pluto, Scorpio asks us to confront our deepest emotions. In doing so, Scorpio reminds us that we are magicians and healers. We can transform any energy, emotion, or behavior. We can turn darkness into light and tension into relaxation. We can heal from the most painful wounds, turning them into wisdom, and we can navigate any storm with ease. The key to working with this energy is to be willing to feel. This Moon asks us to put our logical minds at bay. It reminds us that when we analyze our feelings, we only prolong them. We need to feel to transform, which means slowing down, courageously looking inward, crying, and holding space for any energy to rise from our subconscious."

A Beltane Blessing | Wednesday 5/1

Beltane, observed on May 1st, heralds the onset of summer in Celtic culture, embodying fertility, prosperity, and the union between the goddess and the god. It's a lively celebration featuring bonfires, maypole dances, and ceremonies that pay homage to the abundance of nature and the blessings of the approaching season.

"With roots established and delightful growth all around,
we honor the fertility, beauty and resourcefulness of our creative and soil-based spaces.
Give thanks for the clarity of vision and the potency of our prayers, which set our visions into motion.
We have all that we need, and the abundance of our ideas is confirmed and affirmed.
Our determination has sown such beautiful resonance..."

Rising Phoenix | Ritual Inspiration for the Full Moon in Scorpio

"And suddenly you know: It's time to start something new and trust the magic of beginnings."
~Meister Eckhart

For the Full Moon in Scorpio we take a look at the the final and highest of the three animal evolutions of Scorpio. These are the scorpion, the eagle, and finally, the phoenix.

1. Scorpion: At the initial stage, Scorpio embodies the qualities of the scorpion – secretive, instinctual, and driven by primal desires. They are often focused on survival and can be prone to jealousy and possessiveness.

2. Eagle: As Scorpio evolves, they transition into the eagle phase, where they gain perspective and rise above their instincts. They develop a sharper intuition, a keen sense of observation, and the ability to see situations from a higher vantage point. They become more strategic and are driven by a desire for transformation and growth.

3. Phoenix: In the final evolution, Scorpio embodies the energy of the phoenix, symbolizing renewal, rebirth, and regeneration. They embrace transformation on a deep level, allowing themselves to be consumed by the fires of change and emerging stronger and more resilient from the ashes. They harness their intense emotions for positive change and inspire others with their ability to rise from adversity.

The Phoenix Oracle Card | Kim Krans' Wild Unknown Animal Spirit Oracle Deck

“The Phoenix represents the transformation of our past...The essence of the Phoenix is with us when we realize we have been suffering too long and something must change.

We take a stand and decide to live consciously instead of being driven by the unconscious mind and its list of fears and aversions. At that very moment, the spark of the Phoenix is list, and the great bird helps us burn through our baggage.

We no longer run from who we are, what has happened to us, or what we have done. The “stuck-ness” and “dead weight” fall into the ashes and a lightness and clarity emerge. As the stagnancy continues to smolder, the Phoenix lists our spirits up and up, and we begin to recognize ourselves again.

We may catch a glimmer in our eye that wasn’t there before. Look closely—It’s a sign the fire of transformation is upon your wings.”

Let the phoenix's magnificent dance through the flames ignite the spark of courage within our souls. With renewed purpose and clarity, we carry the light of the phoenix within us, ready to soar to new heights and embrace the infinite possibilities of our journey ahead.

"Renewal is the rhythm of existence, the eternal dance of the cosmos."
