"Peace is this moment without judgment. That is all. This moment in the Heart-space where everything is welcome." ~Dorothy Hunt

"Don't be pushed around by the fears in your mind. Be led by the dreams in your heart.”
~ Roy T. Bennett, The Light in the Heart

Full Moon in Scorpio | Monday, May 12th at 9:57am PT

"The key to working with this Moon's energy is embracing our feelings fully. We need to set aside our analytical mind and allow ourselves to experience our emotions without judgment. When we try to intellectualize our feelings, we simply extend their presence. True transformation happens when we slow down, look within, and create space for whatever needs to emerge from our depths.

The intensity of Scorpio energy stems from its ability to root us firmly in the present moment. It strips away our masks and brings everything into sharp focus. During this Moon, we cannot hide from ourselves or others. Everything we've tried to ignore or push aside naturally rises to the surface. This includes emotions we've avoided, deep-seated beliefs we haven't examined, and feelings we've projected onto others. While this process might feel uncomfortable, it offers an incredible opportunity for growth."

"Just like flowers bloom in May, the flower moon in Scorpio invites you to celebrate how you've blossomed. The flower moon serves as a spiritual reminder that it's not just about focusing on what's ahead, but also recognizing and appreciating what you've already achieved and overcome.

Whether you've been through a tough season or have quietly been putting in the work behind the scenes, Scorpio's "show, not tell" energy invites you to honor your emotional depth, resilience, and ability to navigate tough times with grace. Use the flower moon energy to fully honor and cherish both your determination and your compassion, because they're both essential parts of who you are. After all, you are worthy and deserving of all your flowers."

"The Scorpio Full Moon is one of the most magical Full Moons of the year as it beckons us to dive deep. If we dance on the surface, we can struggle with this watery Full Moon, but if we allow ourselves to really settle into our being, to really honor the darkness and the light, we can find this Full Moon enlightening and awakening.

The Scorpio Full Moon holds the essence of transformation and can help us peel back layers to reveal a higher truth. The Universe has already presented us with many cosmic alignments that have been encouraging us to transform over the last few months, so while this energy is nothing new, we may find the energies of the Scorpio Full Moon assisting our metamorphosis."

~Forever Conscious

"A full moon happens when the sun is opposite the moon. Full moons signal a completion, and as the moon illuminates the sky, still other things come to light. We are not only connected to the heavens and the earth but we are a part of them. The moon has a gravitational pull on the tides of the ocean which make up 75% of the earth’s surface. Like the earth, our bodies are made up of 75% of water. In astrology, the moon represents our body and our emotions so when the moon is full, our emotions rise to the surface so that we can feel, integrate, and release.

The energy of Scorpio calls us to practice non-attachment and allow the cyclical nature of life to play out; honoring the life-death-rebirth phases. Change is the only constant in life and it requires us to transform: to shed the skin of the past and grow into something new."

~Slow Factory

"Scorpio’s domain deals with matters that no one else wants to: the vile, the putrid, the petrifying, the intense, the rejected, the betrayed, the scorned, the scathing, the denied and the dead. Scorpio reminds us that we can repudiate anything for an eternity but that doesn’t mean it will be resolved, it doesn’t mean that it will be repaired, and it doesn’t mean that it will go away.

Hurt festers until it is healed. Trauma steals our lives away until it is righted. Murder cannot be undone, lives lost cannot be restored, histories cannot be wiped out. The truth will eventually prevail."

Scorpio Full Moon Shadow Ritual

"To light a candle is to cast a shadow."
~Ursula K. Le Guin

The Scorpio Full Moon is a portal into the hidden, emotional depths of the psyche. Scorpio invites us to dive beneath the surface and illuminate the shadows that quietly shape our thoughts, feelings, and behaviors. This is a powerful time for release, transformation, and rebirth.

Supplies:

  • Journal + pen
  • Fire-safe bowl or cauldron
  • Candle + matches
  • Optional: black tourmaline, obsidian, smoky quartz...

1. Create Sacred Space
Begin by dimming the lights and lighting a candle. Ground yourself with a few deep breaths, placing a hand on your heart and another on your belly. Invite Scorpio’s energy in—mystery, transformation, power, and truth.

2. Write Your Fears + Emotional Triggers
Take your journal and write freely. Pour your heart out. What are you afraid of? What emotional reactions or triggers have come up recently that feel disproportionate or confusing? Write it all down—uncensored, raw, real. These are the shadows calling for your attention.

3. Witness + Honor Your Shadow
Pause and read what you’ve written. As you do, whisper the words:
"I see you. I hear you. You are a part of me, but you do not define me."
Honor the wisdom your shadows hold—they are often protectors born of past pain.

4. Ritual of Release
When you feel ready, say a prayer or blessing aloud:
"I am ready to surrender what no longer serves me. I release these fears, these patterns, and this pain to be transformed by the fire of truth."

Fold your paper and burn it in a fireproof bowl, watching the smoke rise as a symbol of your release. If you prefer not to burn it, you can bury the paper in the earth.

5. Anchor the Transformation
Sit in silence. Visualize a lotus blooming in the darkness of your being—each petal a truth, an insight, a layer of your soul unfolding. Breathe deeply into this vision. You are not broken—you are becoming.

Healing is not linear, it's cyclical, just like the Moon. With each full moon, and each conscious breath, may you unfold more fully into your true essence.
