Harvest Full Moon in Aries 6°00' | Friday 9/29/23 at 2:57 a.m. PT | Last Supermoon of 2023!

"Ruled by fire and the planet Mars, Aries teaches us that we are each here on a mission. Our soul wants to accomplish something this lifetime. Each of us has a purpose, and it will keep calling us until we pay attention to it. It may take years for us to find our purpose, then even longer to follow it. Knowing your mission in life is not an easy feat. Some people will know it their whole lives, while others will travel the world trying to find it. You do not need to know your life’s purpose right now. This Full Moon can help you feel it, though, if you allow it. Once you know your purpose, it’s then up to you to pursue it."

"Sun and moon oppose one another in Aries and Libra: the axis of Self (Aries) and others (Libra). Aries asks us to be assertive; Libra asks us to be tactful and diplomatic. The Libra solar cycle is all about balance, especially in our relationships. Get ready for the great cosmic fusion of molten self-respect and unwavering commitment to fairness and justice...Be outspoken; be authentic. Out flows anxiety, in flows confidence. Out flows doubt, in flows self-knowledge. The real magic of Aries is the rebirth, primordial fire ablaze, bones licked clean, muscles straining, reaching for the highest peak. RISE UP FROM ALL DIRECTIONS!"

Last Supermoon of 2023! And when to see it:

The moon officially will turn full when it reaches a spot in the sky opposite the sun (180°). This moment will occur on Friday 9/29 at 02:57 am PT. This is the fourth and final Supermoon of 2023--Supermoons are full moons that occur at or near perigee — when the moon is closest to Earth in its orbit —and because of this, the moon can appear slightly bigger and brighter. This effect is most noticeable when the moon is first rising above the horizon. There were four supermoons that happened in a row since July, with two of them in August (the latter was a rare Blue Super Moon) leading to this month's finale.

It is also known as the Harvest Moon, because it is the full moon that is nearest the Fall Equinox. Traditionally farmers made use of the 2-3 days of precious extra light to work long into the night harvesting crops. And how best to view this luminous lunar phenomenon? About a half-hour after sunset Thursday, look East as the Moon rises.

Aries the Peaceful Warrior | Self-Love and Showing Up For Yourself

"What lies before us and what lies behind us are small matters compared to what lies within us.
And when we bring what is within out into the world, miracles happen.
~Henry David Thoreau

This full harvest moon is in Aries, with the Sun opposite, in Libra. The Aries Libra axis represents Self and Others -- how we take care of ourselves, and how we relate with others. Where Libra the Fair would generously give away all of her energy with equanimity, Aries the Warrior reminds us to value the empowered self:

You can't be a warrior for others if you aren't a warrior for your own well-being. Aries reminds us to show up for ourselves with the same compassion and loving energy that we give to others. Here are some simple commonsense reminders of ways to love, trust, honor and value your self, because you deserve it!

Activate the power of self-reflection | When we take time to sit with our emotions and truly think about what we want in life, that's the root of growth and flourishing.

Commit to your passions | The expression 'work hard, play hard' comes to mind -- We are not on this planet simply to be 'productive.' We need bread to eat, but we need roses to feed our soul! We have to treat beauty, poetry, love, peace and joy as essential. Honor what you love, by being present with it. Honor yourself by giving energy to the things that bring you joy.

Trust your intuition | Tune in to how you are feeling, and let your body, mind and spirit accomplish what they are made to do. We are highly sensitive beings who respond to our environment and deduce the best path, that is our instinct and our nature, it is okay to trust it.

One Step Every Day |  Keep your dreams in sight, and don't be afraid to be the humble tortoise rather than the flashy hare. Remember that you are getting somewhere, even if the scenery is evolving very...very...slowly...It doesn't matter if the steps you take are small, they just need to take you in the right direction.

"Earth is a perfect school, and daily life is the classroom.
You aren't here on Earth merely to strive for success; you're here to learn--
and daily life is guaranteed to teach you all you need in order to grow,
and evolve, and awaken to your higher purpose here.
~Dan Millman, The Four Purposes of Life: Finding Meaning and Direction in a Changing World
O Holy Spirit of Fire,
life in the life of all life,
holy are you,
enlivening all things.
