Meet the Artist

Roza Khamitova's childhood nickname, Shovava, means playful and cheeky. It is also the name of her fashion label, located in the hinterlands of Byron Bay, Australia.

Roza got her fashion start in the mid 2000's in New York, re-purposing vintage men’s t-shirts into fitted, hand-painted women’s tops.

Her pieces resonate with those who want more from fashion, and appreciate unique and thoughtful pieces of wearable art. The Wing Shawls preserve the artist's intentions in their beautiful designs; ethically sourced and sustainable materials ; and meticulous printing process.
