“Intuitive” is a great word! We all have a measure of intuition; periods of time we feel led, guided or in flow, like what’s happening is exactly what’s supposed to be happening. We feel connected, vital and in alignment. It feels good!

But what about when we find ourselves challenged; thrown for a loop or questioning events unfolding around us? How do we access our intuition to stay grounded and move things forward? We can easily buy into old programs; feeling out of place, inadequate, blaming, guilty, or fearful. We can buy into the stressful belief something must be wrong or a mistake was made. But second guessing ourselves or the events or people around us, or spending excessive time in blame, guilt, shame or fear, is missing the bigger picture. It’s important to process those emotions for certain, but once we realize what the feeling is (feelings are) and we give ourselves permission to feel it, without needing to make it larger than it really is, we open ourselves up to another layer of movement. Movement forward that is…through activating our natural intuitive powers.

So how do we gain perspective, thorough our intuition, to keep ourselves in flow and absorb the shock of what surprises us, or, the surprise of what shocks us? There are 3 things to keep in mind and contemplate to activate your intuition and change your perspective instantly, helping you move things in a different direction:

  1. Remember the principle: “There are Zero Mistakes”. It’s one of my main philosophies and keeps things in perspective because I know what happened years ago, (that, then seemed so bad) made me who I am today and brought me to places I never thought possible. So think back to some of the things you judged as horrible, or experienced as horrible, but over time proved to be a blessing. Maybe you got fired from a job, which felt bad, and presented financial challenges but then it opened the space for a better job, bringing you more experiences and new connections. When you remember examples like this, you realize your present situation is indeed an opportunity. This eases the stress, for stress blocks intuition.
  2. Contemplate the inner question: “What am I supposed to be learning from this life-classroom?” Perhaps you are being challenged to be more direct, to learn how to properly speak up for yourself, without anger, blame or judgment; perhaps you are being called to be more generous or forgiving. This is a place of empowerment for we are calling ourselves to accounting and taking responsibility for our co-creation. To stay in blame is to give our power away, and shuts our intuition down. Sometimes this question will take you into very deep places where old memories surface, but you will gain larger perspectives on how you have co-created repeated undesirable circumstances. This step usually takes some time and effort, and it is the key spot where intuition becomes highly activated. It’s the defining factor between staying stuck, and putting things in gear and moving forward. Once you hit on the lessons in it for you, now what?
  3. Demonstrate to the Universe you “Get It”, and ask to know what your next step is, because understanding what your lesson is and demonstrating you’ve learned it, requires action, and action leads to change. When you ask, be receptive, sincere and open. It may take some time, but this is the magic spot where intuition does its work and we simply allow and observe. Listening becomes key and if we did steps 1 and 2 thoroughly, we are bound to hear answers arise within.

Activating our intuition in this way leads to more flow and connectedness. It helps us build discernment and discrimination. It gets us into a more even flow of listening to our Inner Selves, the Universe or whatever you wish to call the Guiding Forces. My job is to help people see what their life-classrooms are all about, and to watch as they move at their own pace and pitch, via their own intuitive strengths. We are all on the same journey at different levels of development and the beauty is we are all Creative, Powerful and Intuitive, usually beyond what we think we are; remember that, as you grow your own intuitive knowing-ness by using these 3 principles. If you need help you can always find me at Paradise Found every 3rd Friday.

Have a fabulous August!
