When we understand the nature of duality, the transitory, we automatically realize eternity, our true nature never ending—always. To Be present in every moment we are here now—Love.

August, like a new day, rises with the Sun ruler of the predominant sign for August, Leo. Leo is the fifth house—creativity, children, self expression, Self realization—romance. Leo is the heart.
The importance of the fifth house: where we practice allowing the heart to dictate. Every thought disturbs what the ‘eye’/heart sees. The eye of the child is still free to see without interruption. Our fears rise out from the heart in stacks standing as a sentry to the unexpressed, unrealized Truth. Be as children and attain the kingdom of God.
Romance is the heart having its way, usually temporarily, as the fears protect us like gladiators. If we really fall into love without thought, we are consumed and radiating simultaneously in a never ending expression of Truth/Love—that which is.
Creativity, the raw energy that we are, flows in an unending expression of “that” spattered upon the great canvas—life in a myriad of ways. The expression of our true nature dances us in waves of light not subject to time. Freedom, no rules. Lost in Self expression, immersed in clouds of joy, returned home.
August is the sky on fire, burning through the illusion that there exists anything but this moment right here in which we play, the unending melody of human being, the expression of God. We witness our unfolding into Love with patience and compassion. Returning to the child that knows not separation.
In the Voyager tarot deck, designed by James Wanless, the first of the major arcana cards is the Fool.Child 0. The design includes a wide eyed child taking everything in as he/she begins a journey into the unknown of the continuous exploration of Self; an unending eruption of physicality that adorns spirit. The Fool.Child has no fears but instead thrives on the mystery that is this moment without definition. The heart opens to touch and be touched, to quench the thirst and satisfy the appetite, the longing for home.
The Fool.Child is 0, the unending or continuation of…a seamless flow into, out of, through, around; hugging perpetual Becoming. Perched at the edge of discovery the Fool.Child leaps and floats in ever present Reality aware that as everything there can be no more, better or different that the ego strives after, caught in the illusion of wanting to satisfy something that has no real existence.
Let August enchant and entrance you and pull you from the wheel of expectation and disappointment. Free then to roam the playground of life that spreads out all around us, to feel and express as a child would. In the depth of summer, remember what it was like to commit your self to the absolute pursuit of your own happiness, to the joy of play that was out of time. There was no hunger, no thirst, only the unending source of pure anticipation as one moment unfolded into the next causing one to inhale sharply with surprise of discovery after discovery. Be the child and watch the joy spread through every heart you touch.
