Once again the wheel turns and we enter into the moon of February—opening with the celebration of the return of light on February 2, with Candelmass. Also known as Imbolc, it is a holiday that commemorates the changing of the Goddess from the Crone back to the Maiden, celebrating the first signs of spring.
It is a time for us to ignite the flame of the heart and to illuminate the world with our vision of birthing a new season; a new world, a world where we see beyond the me, to seeing through the eyes of the We.
In our collective, there is a focus on the holiday of Valentine’s Day, a day to honor Love. Eros is the mischievous god of Love, a constant companion to the goddess Aphrodite. It is said on this day, the power of love through cupid's arrow strikes the heart and opens it to the Eros, the beauty of Love.
Let me introduce you to The Goddess of Love, "She whose Beauty Embraces in Love." Her Archetypes are Aphrodite, Freya, Laxshmi, Ishtar, Sarasvati, Oshun, Radha, Ishtar, Xochiquetzal, Astarte.
The Goddess of Love is asking you to expand your definition of love. Go deeper into what it means to unconditionally love. She is asking that you break free from any tendencies towards comparison and competition, and to move into the embrace of self-love. Transmute all the stories of the past which you may hold any energy of wounding. Bless your stories, go into the fear, hurt and loss, and see how they have served you. Now are you ready to forgive them and free yourself to really open to the true experience of love?
Not the worldly pink bubble of romantic love where the myth of love lives, but into the new myth of Pure Love, Unconditional Love. Welcome a Love that does not set limits to its ability to experience love in all of its different flavors. A love that is not dependent on another seeing beauty in you, because you now see your own beauty. With this perception of beauty, you create beauty wherever you are. The goddess of Love is the path of beauties’ way.
Do you experience anxiety around mirrors, if so take time to explore the source of the distortion that has you feeling "imperfect". Notice if you are buying into the cultural idea of beauty with all the airbrushed images that bombard you in our media. Really look into your eyes and see the beauty that lies within, if you really saw who you are, you would be blinded by this beautiful light.
This moon, ignite the flame of your heart so you may see this fire that is a glow, illuminating this divine spark of love. Self-Love is the foundation of all spiritual teaching. When you love yourself, you have the capacity to see that love in each and every face. You step into a new hall of mirrors that sees only perfection!
Now are we ready to be Love in Action, in service to the planet?
As you move out of the self-identified idea of love, into the greater service of love, you are ready to support planetary transformation. Move the focus from the self, to the other, and onto the protection of the planet.
The goddess of Love is asking you to offer your love to this glorious green blue planet, to see her beauty with eyes of appreciation, and to bless her with your thoughts and actions.
The goddess of Love in the face of Aphrodite is seen rising out of a conch shell with the ocean of love all around her. See yourself as She, and radiate that love to the waters, to the land, to all beings. See a world that is beyond competition and is rooted in Oneness. When we love another, we love the self.
Love is all that is real, now we are ready to create a new Reality. Radiate Love and see the heavens blessing us with radioactive-free rain, blessing the earth with each holy drop. Send the warmth of your blazing heart to those that are cold and in need. Open the treasure box of your jeweled soul and offer your love in the name of the One.
