Ever been in a place where you just couldn’t decide? Maybe there were so many factors that you had a hard time accounting for them all. Or maybe you were just scared that you’d make a mistake--that you would suffer too negative a consequence for taking either path.Doubting one’s self is a universal human experience, but extended feelings of self-doubt, without some personal intervention, can cause the doubt to intensify leaving us anxious, worried and undecided, more often than not. It’s one of the top 3 reasons clients come to see me: to allay anxious feelings and find an inner state of comfort.What they end up learning is what I’m about to share with you. It’s made the biggest difference in their lives and it can help you transcend and transform habituated feelings of self-doubt into a living breathing pattern of personal empowerment.So, what is the secret for moving away from doubting yourself and feeling empowered and having self-confidence? Since I’m an energy healer and intuitive life coach, we’ll discuss 3 energetic keys and 3 universal principles you can use to keep building your inner resilience system so that feelings of self-doubt are easily and virtually instantly replaced with feelings of empowerment and strength.

The First Key ~ Remembering who you truly are, and de-attaching from who the psyche needs you to be

While it’s easy to get stuck in identifying with our jobs or varying roles, it takes practice to connect with the truest part of who you are. We may not even know who we truly are if we are mired in self-doubt or another negative emotion or belief system, but if we quiet ourselves down, we can feel into the truth of who we are by closing our eyes and doing some slow deep rhythmic breathing.Practice holding for 1-3 seconds at the top and bottom of each breath. This type of breathing causes the auric field to be partially cleansed and the solar plexus to expel congested fear energies that keep us from moving forward in life. 6-8 breathing cycles also normalizes the nervous system so that you literally can bring yourself down a few notches from the high stress state of anxiety, closer to a feeling of self-confidence and personal empowerment.To increase this feeling let your awareness be centered at the heart and crown chakras (located at your chest and top of your head). While breathing mentally repeat:

“I am not the body, thoughts or emotions. I, am greater than my body. I, am the observer of the thoughts. I, am the experiencer of the emotions. I am energy with consciousness that moves the body; chooses the thoughts; and feels the emotions. I am even greater than the mind. The mind is just an instrument of the soul. I am the Soul. I am a spiritual being of divine light, divine love and divine power. I am That I Am. I am one with my Higher Soul, one with the Divine Spark within me; one with the Universe (or God); one with all. So be it.” 

First Universal Principle ~ The Nature of Soul Energy (Love, Light & Power) wants experiences

Soul energy that moves through your body is invested in witnessing & experiencing all the fluctuations inherent in human beingness, even though the nature of soul energy is pure love. When you are anchored in knowing you are pure love, light and power, and that you yourself are not the judgmental thoughts you were conditioned to believe about yourself and the world, it creates distance from any uncomfortable emotion, thereby bringing your consciousness to a place that’s closer to empowerment .To deny one’s self any part of the human experience is to block soul energy from fulfilling its purpose. Who are we to say, no it’s not okay to feel the way we are feeling in this moment? Soul energy is not only moving through you but learning from every experience, so even anxiety has the purpose of moving us deeper into knowing ourselves as empowered, and thus it has a relevant and meaningful role in our lives.

The Second Key~ Remembering that all beings are love, light and power, including the ones that hurt you in the past

Anxiety and self-doubt are usually rooted in past experiences where we were not supported, respected or even abused in some way shape or form. Imagine what it might feel like, as a 4-year old sharing an art piece, and what might be learned if the adult(s) in the room show little response, are unimpressed or unaffected by your share?It’s not uncommon for our minds to identify with those experiences and the people involved from a place of anger or hurt to preserve our little selves from any pain that might be too large to bear. Because, our young minds are shaped by how others treat us and interact with us, enough experiences like this can leave us resenting those adults and/or believing that our beliefs, ideas, opinions, preferences or actions are never enough; or worse that we are in some way lacking.These notions accompany the energy of self-doubt, because the feelings become submerged and then locked away by the anger or resentment designed to protect us from feeling uncomfortable emotions before our little bodies and brains are ready to register them. However when you align yourself with Love you are within, and move towards mercy and understanding, which is the Truest aspect of your Self, you loosen the bonds that tie attach you to anxiety and self-doubt.The key is to salute the divinity within your higher Soul, and to express forgiveness to your lower nature for believing all the lies you were taught about yourself. Only after you feel mercy flowing through you in full recognition of the Love Light and Power your really always have been, will you be ready to radiate love and mercy to any and all who may have given you reason to not believe in yourself.

After your breathing, be aware of your heart space and with prayer hands at your heart (which is a mudra that moves the energy up to your crown center for greater connection to your Higher Soul), mentally affirm,

“The divine spark within me (embodied self) salutes, the divinity within my Higher Soul. The divine spark within me acknowledges the divinity within my Higher Soul. I forgive myself, completely, deeply and permanently for all the times I bought into dis-believing in my Self. I forgive any and all who may have taught me to doubt myself through any manner of activity, and I release them in mercy, love and divine power as I claim my light (intelligence) and power back to my Self. With thanks and in full faith. So be it.”

Second Universal Principle ~ Nothing is static, and all things are changing;  how fast we transform depends on how open we allow ourselves to be

Contraction versus open-ness is the ratio that determines the speed of transformation. Since nothing is static and all the elements of our lives are always changing, this principle is accelerated by the open-hearted exercise disclosed above. In it we are opening our hearts to ourselves and to those who may have undermined our confidence, thereby putting us into greater flow of Soul energy as it moves through the body.The more soul energy you have moving through your body the more power you have. In a more precise description, when old congested energies of resentment, worry, fear or anger are dis-integrated and cleared, the more in alignment you will feel with the power, and intelligence and love that is the Real You.

The Third Key ~ Claiming your power back through identifying with the Loving Powerful force of your Higher Soul

What we’re really doing is developing a relationship with the Truest aspect of ourselves, which can only be found in the energy of our individual, respective Higher Souls. Because that aspect of us doesn’t identify at all with the lower negative emotions, and wants the best for us, loves us as we are; has patience for us when we are suffering, and is in a way our personal champions, we can ask to be able remember the Power that we are within during any circumstance where we feel anxiety and self-doubt creeping in.When we truly deeply know that we are able to be led by a loving force that knows us well and wants us to renounce self-doubt so that its light can move through us, we will be more likely to be drawn into communion with Soul energy in order to let go of all self-doubt, while leaning into the statement (mentally affirm):

“I am self-responsible and I allow soul energy to guide me now, knowing what ever I choose will bring me exactly what I need at the time. I honor there are zero mistakes and that it’s okay for me to release self-doubt and anxiety while choosing from the empowered position of my higher soul."

Third Universal Principle ~ That which you focus on multiplies

Since the goal is to have confidence and to heal self-doubt and anxiety, the exercises keep you focusing on the subtlest but most Real aspect of yourself, the soul energy your body needs to heal itself. Who wouldn’t want to have more access to soul energy? If sitting in awareness of the breath gets to be addictive, it wouldn’t surprise me, because it feels fabulous and allows us to practice instant access to that state where we know all is well and that we can handle anything.So how often should you practice this? Every day if possible. It’s also about re-wiring our neuro-network, which has been used to a way of thinking and believing since the moment you chose to believe in the lie self-doubt is.While doing such a simple practice may seem easy, it’s constancy of aim and effort that will make the distinctive difference. Transformation is possible and is your birthright. Let go of the need to keep doubting yourself and develop a close relationship with your Higher Soul. Then try it out and see if your Higher Soul delivers your consciousness from anxiety to self-confident empowerment, in every aspect of your life.
