The ship is going by a mighty engine,And you are busy rowing
~Mooji
February is a quiet month, the deep of winter. There is a moment to settle into the heart and to discover the self unfolding in unending ripples of eternity. I sit by the ocean and, mesmerized, watch wave after wave slide onto the shore. Without lifting a finger life is, creation is. My mind may be engaged in numerous avenues of doing but it has no effect on Being.
February begins with two exact conjunctions in Pisces; Neptune/Venus at 6 degrees and Chiron/Mars at 15 degrees. Pisces is the sign of compassion where ego dissolves and the resulting freedom translates as service to others. The two fish of Pisces joined by a line at the center represents human nature and Buddha nature. In Pisces/Reality, (what we typically refer to as illusion from this perspective of reality) there are not two in fact, but a circle of continuous consciousness that is everything and nothing.
They say that the Truth cannot be defined or comprehended by the mind. Astrologers often say this about Pisces, that it is difficult to understand the last sign of the zodiac as words do not adequately confer its meaning. By the 18th, there will be six planets in Pisces with a Mars/Venus conjunction. Trying to put into words what our experience will be in this case would be futile. Suffice it to say that some of us will be confused and others will be crystal clear. We are all affected, however, by the underlying rhythm of Pisces that is the warp and weft of humanity and all things. It moves us and informs us, always. Whatever goes on in the external world is often resistance to this rhythm—swimming upstream.
Neptune in its own sign, Pisces, has particular strength, and loves as is its nature all things that exist. Neptune is the higher octave of Venus that loves conditionally, loves as a desire to fulfill a need for completion hence its association with relationship. Mars in Pisces represents the energy to transmute the physical nature of our being long enough to realize the full extent of our ‘existence’. Here the will is dedicated to having no will or “thy will is my will”. The usual defensive and/or aggressive tendencies of Mars are absent; especially as the prevailing winds (6 planets in Pisces) favor a transcendent trajectory.
If we are all in a malleable place with the preponderance of mutable planets (Pisces is mutable water and Saturn in Sagittarius is mutable fire) there may be a considerable amount of movement that is beneficial on a spiritual level but in practical reality, do mind your P’s and Q’s while driving, doing business and interrelating as people will be affected variously according to what goes on in their natal charts. Be Aware!
People may say things during this time from an open, unguarded heart, then as we progress to the planetary shift into Aries toward the end of the month may suddenly ‘stand on guard’ once again. The desire would be for the courage and bold action relative to Aries to continue to grab us that we might continue to be our authentic Self.
By the 20th, Mars Venus Moon and Uranus all occupy the warrior’s sign and with what we have integrated during this sojourn in Pisces we should be well equipped to ‘stand on guard’ for the highest good rather than to protect one’s individuality. These are superlative times that require superlative action as regards our Being here. May we all step up to the plate.
We can not pretend that we do not know what is going on or that we may continue to function based upon our adherence to conformity. In the Tarot deck Judgment XX is the signal to awakening—well, it was a cold, grey morning before sunrise in human history that we were first rousted from our beds by the blaring trumpet and guess what, not too many were enticed to leave the comfort of the covers. Now we are well into summer and there are no excuses! The Judgment card is a reminder that we stand naked before the judge or our self. We can no longer pull the wool over our eyes.
The other two cards for February are: the Six of Cups, the card of unconditional love. Sharing and caring of the heart, as above so below. This card implies love for self that automatically spills over and onto the path of everyone one meets. The sixth house is the house of service. Loving self is the greatest gift we can offer here.
The World XXI is the ‘success’ we create through realizing that beyond duality is Truth which allows everything without exception or judgment, excludes nothing. It recognizes the perfection of what is and is free to experience what is and to not sweat the small stuff or be concerned with what ‘seems’ not to be.
If you are by nature a sensitive person February will enhance those sensitivities so please eat well, sleep well and Love well—beginning with your self.
