The Goddess of Love--"She Whose Beauty Embraces in Love"
The way of the Lover is the way of presence in the present moment. The Lover embraces, inspires passion, and offers eternally fulfilling unconditional love and sensual ecstasy. The Lover sees the Beloved in every face. Through beauty, life around her sphere is brought into natural harmony.

Harmony is a natural state of being within this aspect. In this state of harmony; body, mind, feelings and spirit are not in conflict, but are in unity and linked to ones essence and the larger pattern of perfection. Harmony is merely a reflection of a higher order of reality. The Goddess of Love's transcendent function in the Mystery is that this aspect of the Goddess represents this higher order of natural harmony of which beauty is an example.
The shadow of this aspect of the Divine Feminine, as it plays out in human nature, may look like: self-absorption, vanity, excessive focus on outer form rather than inner beauty, insensitivity to the needs and feelings of others, the use of flattery or other untruthful communication aimed at manipulating to get what one wants or to successfully compete for that which one desires. Jealousy, comparison and insecurity are shadow aspects of this archetype as well. Also in this archetype is found distortions in body image.

February has long been celebrated as a month of romance and love. It also begins with the Pagan feast of Imbolic on February 2nd. This is the time after the Great Dark but before the bursting forth--a time for dreaming and knowing our dreams. It is a time of illumination. As we begin the month/ moon ask yourself what needs illumination within you? What quality, if any, has dimmed inside you and needs brightening? Ask yourself, “How can I be more loving to myself and to others?”
Let us light the flame within the heart and see the beloved in each and every face. Ignite the flame of passion within that kindles the fire of desire for Divine Love. A love that is not dependent on the external for its validation of value and worth. The myth of romance is one that can delude us and take us into the darkness of shadow that is reaching outside itself to get something that we already have. Human romantic love demands more from love. We want love to save us from loneliness, to make us happy, to give purpose to our life. This, however, is not what pure love is and the deeper desire to intimacy has to offer.
Love's true purpose is to free the essential self; to see itself as Love and Beloved, one and the same!
We are now in a new paradigm where love is the central theme. We have planted the seeds of love in the dark fertile soil of our consciousness where they now flourish and thrive as we water them with our awareness. Cupid's arrow has pierced the One Heart, penetrating the veils of separation that have kept us longing for something from without. NOW, it is time to feel the tsunami of love that washes over us as we really love ourselves unconditionally. As we allow this love to be the artist of the new, that is creating on a blank canvas a world of beauty, prosperity, and sensuality. A worlf where all our senses are Awake, Alive, Aglow and Illuminated by Love!
Harmony and Unity is the order of the God/dess of Love Day. Let's rename Valentine's Day, the legend around this day focus's on yhe martyrdom and suffering of a man named Valentine. We no longer need to be the martyr and sacrifice anything. When we love, we have everything that has any true value.
This Valentine's Day call in the Goddess of Love, as well as Cupid, to pierce the veils of separation and open the heart to unity. Celebrate Love in all of its undefended forms.
Imagine a world where every interaction heralds a discovery and more intimacy. Imagine a day you could remember less and less and know more and more.
