“You have to cancel out the noise and remember it’s your thoughts that matter.”
~Lady Gaga
Life mastery is not about never feeling overwhelmed. It’s about how you work your energy when you are. We all know what the mind-noise can do to make the overwhelm seem larger than life.So what do you do to “cancel out the noise”? More importantly, how do you sort through all of your own mind-noise and understand how to act for your highest good? Isn’t that what life mastery is, anyways?
We tend to think that words are not much until they are spoken or acted on, but a thought is a vibration creating energetic movements in your chakras, thus impacting your nervous system. An overload of thoughts over-stresses the body, weakening immunity levels. So cancelling out the mind-noise and making our path’s matter, will upgrade your energy levels and potentially strengthen your immunity. Can you use some help clearing your mind-noise? How about help to discern your next move?I’m certain that Lady Gaga was referring to instances when people tell you what to do and how to do it, while your inner-voice (Higher Soul’s will) is pointing you in a different direction. What about discerning between which thoughts you have that are of ‘your true inner-voice’, and which that are conflicting? Life mastery is characterized by the ability to handle whatever comes up by cancelling out the mind-noise, discerning the thoughts that matter most and acting on them.Practice these quick & easy energy healing tips to help you cancel out the mind noise and hear your ‘true-inner voice’.
Meditation is a powerful tool and it’s free! Meditation can be as simple as sitting quietly while bringing your focus on the breath as it passess on the nostrils, but a more effective technique for instant quiet, is to focus on the tip of the nose while breathing. You’ll notice some stillness instantly (it’s clearing your auric field). If you add rhythmic breathing (inhaling & exhaling for 6 counts & holding at the top and bottom for 3 counts) while continuing to hold your focus at the tip of the nose, more clearing will take place in your chakras, increasing your inner quiet. Do this for 3-5 breathing cycles only and enjoy the stillness for as long or short a time as you like, or feel a need for. But what about if you have a hard time experiencing quiet because you still have too much mind noise?
Your intention is only to be an observer, not to “do” anything in particular. By placing your focus on the tip of the nose and holding that intention continuously, you’ll gradually experience more quiet and maybe even some internal spaciousness. While the length of this part of the practice will increase the degree of quieting and there’s more to help you further.
Some of the mind-noise we hear becomes louder during meditation because it’s usually attached to the energy of judgment. To have more quiet, simply, include with the tip of the nose, awareness of the heart chakra (chest area), while practicing the same breathing pattern. This activates your heart chakra, channeling the energies of compassion & forgiveness helping to disintegrate your attachments to judgement(s). 1 or 2 breaths (only) is sufficient. Now moving to a more magnanimous place of assessing, instead of judging (or hearing judgmental thoughts) simply inhale bringing your attention to the tip of the nose and your crown chakra (crown of the head) for a space of 1-2 slow breathing cycles. Your bliss should be increasing, since you have now activated more distinctly your heart and crown center’s.
What’s the difference between listening and hearing? Listening usually requires more attention and effort, while hearing is simply the act of noticing without too much effort. For example hearing a song without listening to the words.Hearing your inner voice, is more like noticing the song without listening to the words. In the spaciousness of quiet (bliss) through meditation, your sense of noticing (instead of ‘trying hard to listen’) will increase. The 2nd path to cancelling out the noise and hearing (listening to) your true inner voice involves breathing with awareness of the tip of the nose, heart & crown chakras simultaneously. Take 1-2 rhythmic breaths into all 3 places at the same time and let go. The increased activation in the heart chakra allows releasing of judgements, and the increased activation of the crown is what will cause you to “hear” the leanings of your true inner voice, all while increasing your bliss, de-stressing your energy and helping your immunity levels to thrive. Then simply let your awareness rest on the crown center as you sit in stillness for as long as it’s comfortable. In the stillness of cancelling out the mind-noise is where you are more likely to hear the words or the impressions we call, the “leanings of your true inner voice”. Writing them down, after your practice, is the first stage of sifting to further evaluate the ‘impressions’ you received. Now, how do you discern which impressions to act on? I’ll share about the energetic process of discerning next month, so stay tuned! Until then, enjoy the stillness from your practice. May it fill you up with bliss, connection & realizations!
