March, Expect the Unexpected by Anna Chapman

Have you also learned that secret from the river; that there is no such thing as time? That the river is everywhere at the same time, at the source and at the mouth, at the waterfall, at the ferry, at the current, in the ocean and in the mountains, everywhere and that the present only exists for it, not the shadow of the past nor the shadow of the future.

~Hermann Hesse, Siddhartha

Together we drift in the river of life and are free to travel moment by moment according to the dictates of that flow. At times submerged, sometimes riding the crest of the wave but none the less swept along by the current that moves all things; that is all things; if there is no apparent movement, that too. As such, what need to be concerned for the how, why, what, where or when of anything? So we free our selves of distracting thoughts and feel the flow of life that arises from the stillness. Life all around, within, without; the amazing vitality and effervescence of the unlimited Self. Waking into ‘my self’ as Reality I am thrust up against the emptiness, required to abandon emotional immaturity, beliefs and fears—in the ‘light’ our worn out clothes are suddenly shabby, rank and an impossible burden. We willingly shed them in favor of the unknown; ecstatic to exclaim that I know nothing! I am effortless, choiceless, pure awareness; unencumbered and fully alive!Continuing to work with the very powerful Jupiter (22 degrees Libra) Uranus (22 degrees Aries) opposition it is beneficial to maintain faith in WHAT IS as what that is, is not something we can predict or know specifically as the nature of Uranus is unpredictable! Uranus also represents freedom, independence and can generate feelings of restlessness when we are living with old habits, patterns, relationships, etc. that are essentially limiting. This may manifest as a general sense of dissatisfaction with the status quo that may have been festering for some time. An uncomfortable feeling arises; of wanting to ‘run for the hills’ but inner wisdom prevails, “stay with it (the feeling) this too shall pass”. And peace ensues; the ability to Be with what is, is the ‘reward’.In your own chart, the houses in which the Aries/Libra axis falls will indicate what aspects of life are affected by this planetary event. Please see this refreshing article for information about the 6 astrological axes (http://astrologyforthesoul.com/axisaxes.html) and how this may be affecting you.On March 1, the Moon exactly conjuncts Uranus which will stir things up on emotional levels. Tempers may flare. Emotional decisions may lead to hasty actions that can have undesirable consequences. There is the potential to experience purification as the fire of Aries ignites the dross that inhibits us. Free we rise from the ashes and embrace the moment with clarity.

In the Tarot deck, the Tower XVI is representative of Uranian energy. When the Tower appears in a reading, it indicates upheaval and energy that quickly disrupts our habitual routine. It clears the path for the experience of something new and refreshingly unknown. This kind of disturbance can feel highly unsettling and is likened to having the rug pulled from beneath our feet. It is wonderful to create with a blank canvas and from a place of allowing that to show up which is for our highest good! Can only be for our ‘highest good’. Expect the unexpected; know that we do not know.

As we do not know we rely on the Fool 0 once again to show us the way. The Fool is the go to guy for many situations as he faces the unknown blithely and is poised in all directions ready to leap the chasm of disbelief. Oblivious to fear and doubt, free of judgment and criticism he is the wanderer moved by the breeze that easily shifts that which is without root. The Fool is beauty, naivety, innocence and free of thoughts. He has very few possessions and only spirit to guide him.

The third card for March is the Ace of Wands. All aces are new beginnings and opportunities to express and experience that which is represented by each suit. Wands are fire! Passion, spirit, inspiration, creativity, vision are words that describe this suit. The Ace of Wands is the torch that lights our way along the path of fully expressing one self and the vision we have resting in the core of our being. We are driven to this by the deep passion within each of us to meet the ‘one’ that inhabits eternity, dwells in all things, is eternal and unchanging. The Ace of Wands is the beginning of the journey that moves us continually closer to our goal—self realization, peace, freedom. We stand up again and again for Truth; the loss of any sense of separation.Fire is also the element associated with Vesta, an asteroid used in astrology that indicates where our passion will motivate us to focus, be dedicated and true to the sense we have of spirit. Wherever Vesta is in the astrology chart shows us where we will dedicate our selves to keeping the eternal flame burning. That was the task set before the Vestal virgins in Rome; to tend the fires of the Roman hearth or spirit. Throughout the month of March Vesta occupies the sign of Cancer. Here the energy is devoted to nurturing and nourishing the spirit within that replenishes and revitalizes us to be here as physically, mentally and emotionally healthy people able to give and receive in positive and balanced ways. The month of March is predominantly Piscean, the last of the water signs. Water and fire can create steam. Steam also has the ability to purify and to assist with the detoxification process. This is a good month to begin a cleanse designed for spring that typically focuses on the liver. Not only does this improve our physical well being it has the benefit of clearing out old anger, the emotion associated with the liver. And finally Spring Equinox occurs on March 20th with a conjunction of Moon and Saturn in fiery Sagittarius and four planets in Aries; a predominance of fire that again speaks of the continuing process of rebirth, revitalization and new growth—all qualities that we associate with spring. With nature the winter elements often clear the way for this process to take place. With humans it is sometimes necessary to allow for the exfoliation process to take place. Lack of resistance is therefore highly beneficial as we prepare for our own regeneration. This brings us full circle to knowing only that we do not know and that this serves us well on the journey. Safe and peaceful journey!A child has a vision that everything is perfect; that everything is possible and all things come to be simply when I wish for them. There is no worry. Energy is not lost through the constant need to know everything. Instead curiosity…

When you wish upon a star, makes no difference who you are,Anything your heart desires, will come to you

~Walt Disney's Pinocchio

Adults, we take things so seriously, so much responsibility, so many rules, regulations. We have lost touch with what it is our heart desires; we are a slave to our minds. For children there is no time (how old is a child when they understand the concept of time?) Everything has potential to be incorporated into the magical land of make believe, of exercising the imagination (what is the imagination) they have not yet been conditioned to edit activity and ideas. (Technology, how has it altered the concept of play and creativity)How quickly can we conjure the excitement that was, when as a child, we engaged in something adventurous, imaginary, ‘dangerous’. Perhaps there was no fear. Perhaps imaginary and adventurous are words that we use, as adults to describe a world that came so naturally to us then and became foreign quickly as we became immersed in societal norms. We still get very excited at the thought of letting go and following our heart’s desire—it often involves SIMPLICITY, NO THOUGHT AND NO TIME. It often involves nature and forces beyond our control removing the tendency for wanting to control and know.(Adults who play in their work.)Characteristics of children that we may value and reacquaint our selves with—authenticity, naivety, honesty, purity, curiosity, wonder, humor, compassion, courage—Huckleberry Finn?Fairy tales and children’s stories that adults love.Dr. SeussShrekBarneyEtc.Documentary by Ben and Rob Stewart, Singularity—self governance and the human condition of not being able to govern our selves so others do that for us.
