Truth only reveals itself when one gives upall preconceived ideas.

May, it is all out in the open! Whatever has been quietly incubating now seeks life. And Jupiter dominates the landscape—wide open spaces—room for growth and expanded awareness. This landscape dressed in shades of endless multiplicity rolls in and out of crevasses and flows eventually back to the sea; the ocean, of which everything we see, is. How fortuitous to be graced by the energies of the planet of beneficence throughout the month of May, a month where optimism naturally abounds and everything exudes vitality.
It is evident that the essence that is life so fully imbues our being that it is suddenly recognized that this is my being—no difference—no separation between ‘this’ and ‘that’. As the month proceeds, the awareness of Self, without personal identification, dissipates all illusion and we come to see that all there is, is what is happening in this moment. And as such, opportunity permeates every circumstance.
Yet to identify with anything happening, any description of what it might be like to wake up would be to confuse what is a very basic realization—that I am all that I seek already. There is no thinking about this required. Our true nature cannot be comprehended with the mind.
Liberation is the end of that which knows it can call something, something.
~Tony Parsons
Everything may go on as usual but I am no longer attached to any of it. There is acceptance of what is in this moment as it is not something else in this moment. The moment is not judged. Whoever I interact with in this moment is not judged. They are simply an expression of the same source. In our ‘hearts’ is the same essence. Open the heart and all is revealed. Embrace essence and all questions suddenly have an answer—‘this’ is it. The mirror is turned around. Our view is inward and it is seen that everything is it.
Throughout this month, Jupiter is accompanied by Juno, who in Roman mythology is his wife. Most know of Jupiter’s many affairs and the dissatisfaction that Juno felt as a result. That these two are in close proximity means relationship issues, especially marriage and commitment are in the spotlight. All aspects of the institution and our beliefs about the essence of relationship are fluctuating. There are some old and imbedded beliefs we have concerning desires for security (emotional and physical) that create suffering that has confounded humans for centuries. (All based on the presumption that there is an individual here who suffers.)
This does not mean that relationship is something that will not be part of the experience here but when the overwhelming desire for peace is the focus, attachment to relationship will be revealed as a limitation to that, or any attachment, and will not allow peace to be known.
The Story of the Tarot for May…
…begins with, the Ace of Swords as the point of Crystal clarity. Here there is no confusion. Thoughts are generated from one source that recognizes the power of thought to create. As there is only one Reality, what I create, or what is created, is that Reality. As that Reality is everything, it cannot be more, better or different, and is perfect as an expression of that. Ace of Swords’ clear thinking allows for creation; the nature of mind is understood.
Page of Wands stands staring ahead without limiting thought or concern. He is free to experience all that comes to him knowing that whatever that might be, is exactly what he wants. The liberation from doubt and all other emotional insecurities places him in a confident position. He need not think about anything. He stands free of ego driven action.
The final card for May is the High Priestess, II. She sits with the scrolls of ‘knowledge’ and invites one to enter the light of knowing. Twos often imply the need to make a decision that ultimately brings one to a place of balance or peace. Focusing on whatever in the present does not allow you to be in peace is the first step to liberation. One step at a time or there is nothing stopping you from taking the whole staircase in one big leap.
Stories can conquer fear, you know. They can make the heart bigger.
~Ben Okri
As long as we need, as human beings, stories help connect the dots. Then one day there are no more dots and no more steps to take. No effort required!
