Thanksgiving is on everyone's mind and another year almost passed. Time to give thanks, yes? What are you truly thankful for? Your family? Friends, job, environment, health, home, car, status, clothes, freedom in whatever form?
Take a moment to reflect on this. Be completely honest with yourself and think about how you feel about your gratefulness. Do you feel your focus needs shifting so you can truly say you are grateful for meaningful experiences and friendships? I am asking you to spend about 20-30 minutes to reflect on your thanks, the deep-gratitude-kind of gratefulness. Think about all the people that you came in contact with during this past year as well as all of your experiences.
How did they affect you: both positively and negatively? Would you change how you felt about a situation or rewind time to change your actions? How is your life different now than it was a year ago?
Do you feel you sincerely want to give thanks or do you feel you have been taken on a roller coaster of events and are still coming to grips with all the events and experiences during this past year. Did you enjoy the flow of life or did life take charge of you?
Please remember that every event, every experience, no matter if we tend to label it good or bad, is a chance to reflect on how we perceive what is going on and how we act and react to it. How important will these be in 5 or 10 years from now? Is it truly as important as you perceived it or is it of not much consequence?
What is it you want to improve about yourself so you have much to be grateful about next year? Can you do it completely by yourself or do you choose to get help?
I want to take the opportunity of this newsletter to give my deepest thanks and gratitude to all of you who have so graciously welcomed me back to Santa Barbara this summer. You are the reasons why I am so joyful and deeply happy to extend my services to all of you. There is no greater reward than being able to help others and every single referral is much appreciated and never forgotten.
Life is great when we make it great and I love to embrace it every single day!
