When we’re incomplete, we’re always searching for somebody to complete us. When, after a few months of a relationship, we find that we’re still unfulfilled, we blame our partners and take up with somebody more promising…until we admit that while a partner can add sweet dimensions to our lives, WE, are responsible for our own fulfillment. ~Tom Robbins

Seven of Cups[/caption]
As we ascend the mountain, we greet the masters as they journey down and embrace each other as one. Relationship is an opportunity to see my self standing right in front of me. In October, with the Sun in Libra until October 23rd, we have an opportunity to focus on relationships; the most important being with the self. Nothing else really matters. When my actions reflect what I wish to create I experience my Self from a deeper place. With a profound sense of inner peace and balance, I automatically find that all relationships are that. That which I am, I experience.
Tarot Cards for October
The 9 of Cups: Jackpot! A nine and a high level of emotional experience here! I often associate nines with inner knowing. In this case it creates an emotional stability that allows one to feel a sense of fulfillment and satisfaction as never before. With open heart I receive and give equally. I feel abundant and happy.
The 8 of Swords: Such a radical difference in the appearance and meanings of these two cards. In the first there is a freedom based on inner confidence whereas in the second there is restriction and limitation based upon fears that control us. Just a reminder, that in order to experience the joyful state of the nine of cups, we must first free our selves of thought patterns that influence us in a negative way. Our freedom depends upon the recognition that “If I feel like a victim, it is because I create that with my own thoughts.”
The 7 of Cups: Sevens are about tests, ultimately the kind of tests that, when met, lead to growth and expansion. Here the test is a choice of what one desires (in Astrology desire is the realm of Venus, ruler of Libra) and though we are offered many things on the material plane, what is it that will result in our greatest sense of fulfillment? We each have our own answer to that question. It may be through repeated choices that we finally whittle down the selection until we get a glimmer of what truly matters. No one else can get us to see that until WE do. So, do not hesitate to attain what you want as it leads that much more quickly to the place you most want to be.
9 + 8 + 7=24=6 As above, so below: in perfect balance, beauty, and inner peace. I know on a deep level that which I am.
Light Surge Around the World…Sometime between 1:00 p.m. October 26th and the early hours of October 27th a surge of light will radiate across the planet affecting the consciousness of every living being. It is just the beginning. This light wave originates from Capulus, a star cluster that denotes the sword hand in the constellation Perseus. In mythology, Perseus is the hero who slew the Gorgon Medusa and the sea serpent that threatened to devour Andromeda. These serpents that were all slain in the early history of humankind are analogous to our own shadows from which we have fled ever since. (Please see Full Moon article August 13 for more detail)
Light emanating from this cluster of 60 stars is the ultimate healing of the pattern of collective thought that has limited us from embracing more of our selves—loving our selves and all things on this planet as myself!
This light wave will have a profound effect upon the cerebral cortex, a “sheet of neural tissue that is the outermost layer to the cerebrum of the mammalian brain. It plays a key role in memory, attention, perceptual awareness, thought, language and consciousness.” (Wikipedia—thank you!)
The cortex is commonly described as comprising of three parts: sensory, motor and association. The association areas operate to produce a “meaningful perceptual experience of the world”. This light wave from Capulus will simply create a direct path from what could be described as a somewhat dry experience to one that has the potential for a much deeper connection to our Self. Therefore this light wave will be experienced as a deluge of grace. We have had showers in the past, but this is something more. All gentle souls are called to the place of inner peace and intimate connection to the divine. The rain from without will initiate a flood of divine energy within. The way in which we have interpreted sensory information will include that which previously was considered taboo.
The constellation of Perseus has been attributed the characteristic of affecting large groups of people “especially events caused by major meteorological phenomena.” The Perseids meteor shower in August eradicated a barrier to expanded awareness that makes the reception of this light wave possible.
What to do to prepare for this? There is nothing we need do as we are already that—Soham—except perhaps, practice inner peace through a daily ritual that need not be lengthy, only ten minutes or so. A ritual of breathing that completely relaxes the body and the mind, for I am not that. Relax into that which ‘I am’. There is nothing more profound than your own being, the art of which embraces all things in a state of unconditional love and that ‘I AM’.
