As the cosmic energies intensify, we find ourselves on the cusp of a transformative event: the Pisces Full Moon partial Lunar Eclipse on September 17th. Eclipses are often viewed as portals, moments when the veil between worlds thins, and we are given the opportunity to access deep truths and epiphanies. In Pisces, this energy is deeply spiritual, inviting a connection with the unseen, the intuitive, and the emotional realms that shape our reality.
Your relationship with the Divine/Source/Universe will get a reset with this eclipse that will set the stage for dramatic growth of your psychic, intuition, mediumship and creative powers.
We are also inching even closer to the Equinox on September 22nd, a time when we experience balance between light and dark.
Pisces, the last sign of the zodiac, represents the culmination of a journey—a return to the infinite waters of the collective unconscious. Ruled by both Neptune and Jupiter (its ancient ruler), Pisces holds the energy of dreams, intuition, and the mystical currents that flow through us all. When a lunar eclipse occurs in this sign, it marks a potent time for release, healing, and spiritual awakening.
An eclipse is a time of surrender and letting go of old emotional patterns, limiting beliefs, and anything that no longer serves our highest good. Eclipses are powerful portals for transformation, and this one, in the mystical sign of Pisces, offers a particularly profound opportunity for spiritual growth. Trust the process, lean into the magic of the moment, and know that the universe is guiding you toward your highest potential.
This particular eclipse literally opens a door into the next two years of revolutionary change in this Pisces slice of your personal chart. An aspect of you is about to get activated and a transformation catalyzed. Another element to consider is that this is a hybrid eclipse, meaning that we are in between the turning of the nodes of the moon from the Aries-Libra axis to Pisces-Virgo.
You can think of this eclipse as a “taste” of what is to come when the north node officially transits out of Aries and into Pisces on January 11, 2025 (my birthday no less). The south node is always directly across in the opposing sign, and in this case, it will move into the earth element sign of Virgo.
I don’t like to use astrology as a mere prescriptive tool, but rather be engaged in a conversation with the planetary bodies to observe the cycles and patterns that make up our lives.
With the north node in Aries, we were learning important lessons about self-leadership and healthy independence. The themes will begin to shift into the more watery, fluid themes of Pisces, particularly around the areas of intuition, spirituality, adaptability and union; with an emphasis on the union and blending of energies, we may begin to experience issues around keeping healthy boundaries and creating a healthy, more solid relationship to the Unseen beings and worlds.
As we journey through this Pisces Full Moon Lunar Eclipse, the energy of the tarot invites us to dive deeply into the waters of emotion, intuition, healing and intimate interaction with the Divine. The Queen of Cups nurtures us through emotional intelligence, the High Priestess guides us toward inner wisdom and connection to the mysteries, The Moon reveals what is hidden within and around us, and the Ten of Cups offers a vision of the peace and fulfillment that awaits us.
The Queen of Cups embodies the nurturing, empathic qualities of Pisces energy. With her, we are invited to honor our emotional bodies during this eclipse. She teaches us to hold space for our feelings, to listen deeply to the currents within, and to trust our inner knowing. The Queen of Cups sits serenely by the ocean, her chalice representing the wisdom of the heart. As this eclipse washes over us, she urges us to embrace the fluidity of emotion, allowing it to cleanse, heal, and guide us toward compassion for ourselves and others. You will notice that she is holding her cup close and is a bit protective of it. Symbolically, she advises through her quiet gaze to keep your inner treasure close and only share with those who are open hearted, loving and loyal.
The High Priestess, another significant archetype during this Pisces lunar eclipse, stands at the threshold of consciousness and the unknown. She is the keeper of hidden knowledge, the intuition that whispers truths from beyond the rational mind. In this time of heightened spiritual awareness, the High Priestess encourages us to tune into our inner voice. She represents the veil that parts during an eclipse, offering us glimpses of wisdom and insight we might otherwise miss. This is a moment to meditate, to journal, to reflect—trusting that the answers lie within. The High Priestess is a mediator between the mundane world and the Divine. Her message to us is about listening and be-ing, rather than taking action and do-ing to receive the insight that this full moon eclipse imparts.
Pisces is the sign most closely associated with dreams, and The Moon card deepens this connection. The Moon reveals the subconscious, illuminating our fears, desires, and the parts of ourselves we often hide. Under the light of the eclipse, the Moon card invites us to face our shadows with courage. Eclipses can stir up emotions we thought we had buried, bringing them to the surface for release. The Moon teaches us that this process is necessary for growth, as it helps us reclaim our power by acknowledging all parts of ourselves, even those that are difficult to face.
Pisces is notorious for nebulous, fluid boundaries. Some of your Shadow may “leak” into your everyday consciousness through relationship or situational triggering. Keeping a neutral stance at these moments is key to our spiritual growth.
Keeping your center is the key to being the High Priestess––she does after all sit serenely between two pillars, on the middle path.
Amidst the depth of this lunar eclipse, the Ten of Cups serves as a beacon of hope and harmony. This card represents the ultimate emotional fulfillment and unity, a sense of peace that comes from aligning with your true self and your soul’s purpose. In the context of the Pisces Full Moon Lunar Eclipse, the Ten of Cups reminds us that after the stormy release of emotions and subconscious fears, there is a rainbow—a promise of spiritual and emotional wholeness. This is a card of completion, symbolizing that the work we do now will lead to profound joy, connection, and peace in the days to come.
