Black MadonnaAlchemy of Ecstasy

I am the Black Madonna in the darkness of my embraceis the gift of immense grace.

I invite you to surrender into the black void of my holy dark night. To release all fright and see with new sight.

As I tuned in and asked who wants to show up and play this moon, I pulled the Queen of Death card from the 13 Moon oracle deck. My mind came in and questioned how is she playing out in this cycle and why is she showing up now. I asked for a clearer view of where she would lead us and I pulled the Illumination card from the Alchemical Goddess.

Today, July 25th, is the last day of the yearly Mayan calendar and is considered to be “a day out of time.” This day is one of forgiveness and the artistic celebration of life and freedom. July 26th marks the beginning of the Mayan New Year and corresponds with the rising of the great star Sirius thus providing an opportunity for harmonizing ourselves with the galaxy.

I invite you to join me in the journey of a day out of time. By the time you read this it will be another time, but that is the idea; to move out of time which is a concept of the mind that limits the eternal Now. The fear of death is one that reflects this in not knowing, entering the unknown, or the idea of being in the nothingness for the rest of eternity, or being in the space between one life and another. That I believe is where we are right now collectively; the space between, as one world dies and the new still in the process of birth. We are the caterpillar that has moved into it's chrysalis; dissolving into a new form, not knowing what that is, trusting in the process.

The Queen of Death is here to carry us from one life to another as we shed the layers of our ego (small self) to seeing and BE-ing our Divine Self. What this aspect represents in the cycle of creativity is fallowness, the ability to be dormant, uncreative, empty, like a seed underground in winter. In her transcendent function this aspect represents transformation, the removal of the husk to reveal the hidden seed of essence. She invites us to still ourselves and to enter into the sanctuary of inner silence to perceive the truth that is found only there. Her primary skills are stillness, release and walking naked into the unknown. She beckons us to enter the silent void and the abyss of the Great Mystery to experience unity and union. When we are in the void, we are united with the Goddess in her unformed, dark being. It is from this space of stillness and silence that we most easily receive divine inspiration.

The day out of time creates this opportunity to be in the space between one cycle and another. To be the seed of the new that knows the power of resting in dormancy, trusting that the light and new growth will return bringing forth new Life. To be afraid of death is to be afraid of Life. Let us enter into the void of the Black Madonna and forgive the shadow aspects of self and use them as compost to fertilize the new soil of our Soul.

The Myth in this aspect is the descent, as the pathway of return. This is the myth of dismemberment that occurs when we shed our identifications with the ego and die to the old ways of being, so that the authentic self can be born. It is about the lost, denied, rejected parts of self. This aspect of the Goddess as the power to scrap us to our very essence. To experience this process and reap full benefit, means feeling fully exposed, naked, vulnerably raw. This can appear to be unbearable, painful and unfair if we are not in trust of God/dess and the process of conscious death.

As we watch the old world die, and the shadows emerge to be freed into the light, let us surrender into her sweet embrace and Trust all is in divine order. All that is rising out of the darkness of the unconscious is desiring to become conscious. As we prepare for the new cycle of the Illuminated Mind, the Golden Age, Ahau, (the Mayan time of the dawning of the golden sun), celebrating our freedom and feeling the harmony.

Breath Life in Fully as we breath out all that no longer serves.

I will give you one final tip from the Queen of Death on how to release more gently or at least more ecstatically. Laugh!!!!

Remember the expression "I died laughing." This is no joke!
