What Really Matters? Every day. Every day is what really matters. What happens every single day, what we make of it, how we process our experiences and interact with others. This is what matters. Every time we do, we stay on the path we are currently on, whether consciously or subconsciously, and make course corrections if necessary.

These changes often influence the rest of our lives and, really, many other lives along the way.

Life is too short

How do we know when we should make changes and which changes to make? A written list often helps clarify and prioritize what matters most, is of most urgency or affects you most in an emotional, financial, spiritual or physical way. Only you can truly determine what should be top of the list. Your thoughts and feelings need to be clear to find out what really matters most at this time.

When you seek the guidance of relatives and friends to help you become clearer on your list, keep in mind that most will rather give advice they would like to receive in their lives than clearly see what is best in your situation. This may mean their opinions do not serve you.

Once that written list is established and you have prioritized, simply take one day at a time and go from the top of the list to the bottom. One item may take months to complete, another only minutes. You are not trying to win a race, you are simply living your life in a conscious way, knowing what your current priorities are and this should be reflective as much as it is possible, in your daily life and the planning of time allotted to various activities in your 24 hours.
