Full Moon in Scorpio

"When the Full Moon meets Scorpio, magic is in the air. This is one of the most intense Full Moons of the year. Ruled by water and the planet Pluto, Scorpio asks us to confront our deepest emotions. In doing so, Scorpio reminds us that we are magicians and we are healers. We can transform any energy, emotion, behavior. We can turn darkness into light and tension into relaxation. We can heal from the most painful wounds, turning them into wisdom, and we can navigate any storm with ease...

...Facing the depths of our soul is the work of the Scorpio Full Moon. It’s scary, intense and full of raw emotions. It’s also incredibly healing and empowering. This Full Moon reminds us of our power. Facing our shadows takes courage and compassion. As you shift through your deeper layers this Full Moon, remember to love all of them. They are all part of you and your story. They need love and acceptance to heal. As you discover hidden pieces of yourself, shine a light on them. Know that you are only human. You are not perfect- and that is okay. You are full of both darkness and light. The important part is that you learn about both sides of yourself. Only through knowing your whole self can you reach your highest potential."

"Great unknowns lie before us. We are aware that life as we once knew it has changed, based on what our physical eyes and minds observe. But there is also a deeper shift underway, one that we sense intuitively and recognize at a soul level, even if we can't yet put it into words...

...Astrologically, the planet Uranus is a strong significator of change, often being active when we experience a major shift. This week and next, we are working with very strong Uranus energies. Time will feel like it's moving even more quickly over the coming days, and we will need to be flexible in our approach to daily activities, since the advice with Uranus is always "to expect the unexpected.

But Uranus is also the planet of Higher Consciousness, and thus facilitates the connection between our rational minds and the Higher Mind, also called Divine Mind. Over these next two weeks, we may have enhanced access to higher level information and to an expanded range of illuminations and insights. Those who bring through channeled information may find their connection enhanced and words flowing even more powerfully."

~Pam Younghans, NorthPoint Astrology Journal

"Having a vision for the future means trusting the path of change. It means tapping into the changes that need to take place, not just in the world around you, but inside you. Scorpio is about mystery, transformation, and the movement of energy beneath the surface. Its energy is heightened with Pluto stationing retrograde during this Full Moon.

Inside the cocoon, the caterpillar completely dissolves into liquid before taking shape in its new form as a butterfly to emerge into the light of day. And sometimes, we have to fall apart before we can rebuild ourselves. The mystery of Scorpio means you may not know what that “falling apart” process will look like for you or anyone else, so be sure to give yourself the time and space you need to let go and allow what is, to be.

Whatever is happening is opening you to a deeper place of self-trust that will support you in living your life purpose. If you are one of the many who has a role to play in humanity’s evolution at this time, trusting this role will also help you to step up and be who you are here to be, with clarity and authenticity."

Scorpio Full Moon--A perfect time to prepare Moon Water

moon water full moon in scorpio | Paradise Found Santa Barbara

Moon Water is water that has been charged with the energies of the moon. It is a powerful tool for removing negative energy that has gathered around people, objects and places. This consecrated water can be used in a ritual or ceremony, or for working a spell. Use it to cleanse any of your crystals that are safe to immerse in water.

It may also be charged with the energies of the zodiac sign the moon is passing through at the time...In the case of the upcoming Full Moon, that is Scorpio. Scorpio is a water sign that is commonly associated with three different animals: the scorpion, the snake, and the eagle (or phoenix).

This transformation from a lowly creature to its most exalted form mirrors the soul's journey of spiritual growth. So, moon water charged with the energy of a Scorpio Full Moon is especially appropriate for rituals around transformation, growth, opening to the Higher Self...

How to prepare Moon Water

You should make Moon Water during the full moon (the day before the full moon, the day of the full moon, and the day after the full moon). Take a clear glass container--glass is preferred over plastic because it is cleaner and does not contain harmful chemicals. The glass should be transparent and clean, for the Moon's light and energy to transverse it into the water, and not be reflected away.

Fill the container with water. The best water to use is rainwater or spring water, if it is clean and drinkable. This is not always easy to find, so you should just use the cleanest water available. Because water absorbs the energy of thoughts and intentions, it is important to be aware of your energy during this process. You may choose to meditate in advance, do several cycles of deep breathing, or light a candle and focus on the flame for several minutes, to calm and focus your inner state.

When you ready, close your eyes and send love to the water. Center your thoughts and your intentions on the Moon Water, and direct all your positive energy to it. Imagine peace and harmony in your soul, and let yourself feel happiness and joy--stay with these feelings for several minutes. Visualize the water opening to the energies of the moon, the molecular structure of the water changing, its vibrations increasing as it absorbs and harmonizes with the energy flowing from the moon.

It may help to envision connecting threads of energy flowing from your own body to the moon, and flowing from the moon into your container of water. Trust your intuition and your connection to nature as you ask the moonlight to enter the water. Place the water on a windowsill or in any open space where the Moon will be clearly visible, so that the water absorbs as much direct Moon light and energy as possible. Leave the container overnight so that the Moon charges the water with energy. Moon water is ready for use in the morning.

How to use Moon Water?

This water can be used to purify bad energy and balance the chakras. You can use Moon Water in rituals, for relaxation, purification, and manifest intentions and call in specific energies. There are innumerable ways to use Moon Water in ritual and everyday life, to purify, and call in good vibes of all forms and aspects. These are just some suggestions to get you started--Let your intuition be your guide!

  • Energize your crystals with moon water. Place your crystals in a jar with some moon water to cleanse and empower the crystals. Clear quartz is an amplifier of energy and can transform negative energy into positive energy. Add this crystal to the moon water for extra umph.
  • Cleanse yourself with a moon bath. Fill the tub with warm water. Add epsom salt and a couple of handfuls of white flower petals for purification or red rose petals to attract love. Then add a few cups of moon water to the bath. I sometimes like to add crystals and essential oils to the bath too. Soak for 15-20 minutes.
  • Drink your moon water. Take a sip or two everyday to empower yourself with the energy of the moon. Make sure you use purified, spring or distilled water if you are going to ingest your moon water, and keep it refrigerated.
  • Use your moon water to make essential oil perfumes for yourself.
  • Water your plants with it. Plants will benefit from the energy of the moon.
  • Place moon water in a cup on your altar to amplify your intentions and goals.
  • Use it as a daily aura cleanse. Put it in a spray bottle and spray around your aura to cleanse your energy every morning before leaving your home.
  • Moon water for beauty and self care: Use your moon water to enhance your natural beauty by making a toner with it. Add a few drops of lavender essential oil in a bottle with the moon water and use daily after cleansing your face or as a refresher throughout the day.
  • Diffuse your moon water in your home. Place moon water into your aromatherapy diffuser with the essential oil or oils of your choice to clear the air and enhance the effect of the oils you use.
  • Get creative and use this moon water to manifest your soul’s desire. Make your own ritual and allow the energy of the full moon to support you.
