“Keep your face always toward the sunshine, and shadows will fall behind you.” ~Walt Whitman
"May I see the things in front of me as they are, not as I think them to be. May I walk the steps ahead of me one at a time, not wondering if there's a map. May I say the things that fix things, not break them further apart. May I do what I need to do, not be distracted by what I can't. May I dream of what I hope for, not of what I fear. May I love you like I love you, not as any other, me.”
"On July 24th we have a New Moon at 2º Leo 08’, at 3:11 pm EDT (12:11 pm Pacific time; 8:11 pm British Time). The reason why this is such a significant Moon has to do with all of the outer planets being in the first few degrees of the signs they are in. All of them. This means the New Moon on Thursday is opposite Pluto at 2º Aquarius 35’, trine Saturn at 1º Aries 50’, trine Neptune at 2º Aries 04’ and sextile Uranus at 0º Gemini 38’. The New Moon is insinuating itself into this cradle that is forming and re-forming over the year ahead… a cradle that balances all of the outer planets in these early degrees of the fire and air signs Gemini, Aries and Aquarius.
Before we get to the New Moon next week, we are first needing to navigate our way into the retrogrades of first Saturn and Neptune, and then Mercury newly stationed for its retrograde phase, also in Leo. And as Mercury enters its retrograde phase, it turns its attention inwards, towards the very core of our being, and asks us: What do you want in your heart of hearts? What would make you happy? And what might be standing in the way of that happiness? Is it Fear? Is it avoidance? Confusion? Despair? Just not knowing what that is or could be?
The New Moon in Leo is a good time to:
" On July 24th, 2025, the Moon joins the Sun in the radiant sign of Leo, giving birth to a New Moon that invites us to reclaim our center, ignite self-expression, and honor the sacred fire that burns within. A New Moon is always a time of introspection, of planting seeds, of listening to the quiet whisper of becoming, but when this cosmic union happens in Leo, even the whisper carries a roar.
Governed by the Sun, Leo represents vitality, identity, creativity, and heart. The New Moon in this sign is a symbolic merging of the emotional and intuitive lunar world with the solar power of purpose and selfhood. It’s a moment to remember that being seen is not vanity, it’s necessity. Not for applause, but for alignment. For truth."
"This New Moon is a portal. A threshold. An offering of transformation, self-reclamation, empowerment and reawakening from the inside out, rippling into all areas, layers, and facets of our lives and beyond.
It is an opportunity to choose ourselves.
To face our fears of being seen, of being “too much”, of embodying our own power and creativity – and still, choose ourselves. To meet patterns of giving away our voice, shrinking our shine and dimming our light – and still, choose ourselves. To stand with the stories saying that safety is found in silence, that acceptance is earned through smallness or sameness – and still, choose ourselves.
To observe the spaces within us that we have cast to shadow; a result of projected shame, fear, and judgements that were never ours – and still, choose ourselves. To acknowledge the chorus of collective demands, the push to groupthink, the pressure to conform, contort, to disappear so that we may ‘fit’ – and still, choose ourselves."
"July 2025 will challenge us to stay anchored in the present as we navigate the tension between the pull of the past and the call of the future. During the first half of the month, both Saturn and Neptune station retrograde in the early degrees of Aries and prepare to come back to Pisces, asking us to take care of unfinished business, restructure our dreams, and make sure we are acting in alignment with what is True.
On July 7, Uranus makes his first ingress into Gemini, where Venus will be already transiting. Uranus’ shift of signs is the highlight of the month. This event accelerates the pace of everything and inaugurates a period of intense intellectual innovation, technological breakthroughs, and revolutionary changes in how we think, learn, and communicate.
During the second half of July, Mercury stations retrograde in Leo, the Sun enters Leo, and shortly after we experience a New Moon, also in Leo. Both the Sun and the New Moon will be opposite to Pluto in Aquarius, revealing hidden power dynamics and exacerbating the tension between our personal desires and societal expectations. The month ends with Venus’ ingress into Cancer, marking a surge in our desire for emotional intimacy and inspiring us to deepen our connection with our close ones."
"When Leo meets the New Moon, our hearts expand and our truths reveal themselves. This New Moon is a powerful invitation to show up for yourself and your heart in ways you may have been hesitant to before. It's a time to express your deepest desires and lead yourself forward from a place of authentic joy. The Leo New Moon brings many feelings and energies around who you are and who you want to become. It's an opportunity to decide what parts of yourself are ready for the world to see. Give yourself permission this New Moon to be your most authentic self and decide what that means to you.
This New Moon asks you to notice what you've been holding back in your life because it feels too scary to step into. What gifts have you been keeping hidden because you're worried what others might think? We are always changing, evolving, and uncovering new aspects of ourselves. The person you are becoming may have talents, ideas, and visions that the world needs right now, but fear of judgment might be keeping them locked inside."

A poem for your ritual:
"In each of us
There once was a fire
And for some of us
There seem as if there are only ashes now
But when we dig in the ashes
We find one ember
And very gently we fan that ember
Blow on it, it gets brighter
And from that ember we rebuild the fire
Only thing that's important is that ember
That's what you and I are here to celebrate
That though we've lived our life totally involved in the world
We know
We know that we're of the spirit
The ember gets stronger
Flame starts to flicker a bit
And pretty soon you realise that all we're going to do for eternity
Is sit around the fire"
