Water Meditation: Pisces Full Moon + Lunar Eclipse Ritual, 9/7/25

“There is force in the universe, which, if we permit it, will flow through us and produce miraculous results.” ~Mahatma Gandhi

Water Meditation: Pisces Full Moon + Lunar Eclipse Ritual

We can see water’s unique ability to change form as it ranges from liquid to ice to gas. Water flows and adapts to the space it’s in. Water is also the element of cleansing and purification, and is often used for spiritual purposes to cleanse the soul and other spaces —physical or otherwise. The ‘wave of emotions’ reminds us of the watery realms of our emotions that can transform and change like the element of water."

Setting the Scene

  • Find a body of water if possible—an ocean, lake, river, pool, or even a bowl of water placed before you.
  • If you’re comfortable, you may choose to be in the water (a bath, shower, or natural setting). Otherwise, sitting beside it works beautifully.
  • Allow the moonlight, if visible, to reflect on the water. If not, imagine its silvery light shimmering across the surface.

Meditation

  1. Arrive & Ground
Close your eyes. Take three slow, deep breaths in through your nose and out through your mouth. Feel your body settling. Notice the air, the water nearby, and the energy of the moon above.
  2. Connect to Water
Gently place your hands in the water (or imagine your palms resting on the surface of a vast moonlit ocean).
Whisper softly: “I surrender to the flow. I am held by the waters of the Earth, the tides of the Moon, and the wisdom of Pisces.”
  3. Moonlight Visualization
Envision the moonlight pouring down, touching the water, then rippling into you. See yourself glowing, as though your body is a vessel of liquid light. Let this light gather around your heart and wash through any areas of heaviness, confusion, or stagnation.
  4. Eclipse Release
With each exhale, imagine old patterns, outdated stories, or emotions you’re ready to release flowing out of you like ink dispersing into water. The water holds them, dilutes them, transforms them. Trust that what no longer serves you is being washed away.
  5. Piscean Dreaming
With each inhale, draw in Piscean gifts: intuition, compassion, imagination, and a deep sense of oneness. Imagine yourself floating peacefully, both part of the water and cradled by it.
  6. Closing Affirmation
    Whisper or think:
“I release what no longer serves. I trust the flow. I dream my new vision into being.”
Take a final moment to gaze at the moon’s reflection, anchoring this feeling of surrender and renewal.

Optional: Afterward, write down any dreams, images, or insights that came to you during the meditation. Lunar eclipses often bring revelations that bloom in time.
