"This New Moon brings us fertile energy to plant our dreams and intentions. Taurus gives us the energy necessary to build all of our visions through slow, patient, and determined action. The first step, though, is to appreciate what we already have in our lives. The Taurus New Moon helps us see the abundance present in varying forms. It directs our attention to what we have instead of what we are lacking.
This Moon slows us down a bit and helps us find stillness. As we pause for even a moment, we can appreciate the life we have created. We can begin to see how every turn and every lesson landed us in this exact moment. While your life may not be perfect, it is full of possibilities, and the road that got you here is precisely the one meant for you.
On this New Moon, find gratitude for your life, your journey, and the wisdom that leads you to where you are right now. Be grateful for the people in your life, the air you breathe, and the opportunity to be alive at this unique time of history...When we exist in a state of gratitude, abundance finds us along with every other energy we need to manifest our dreams. We’re also happier, and these positive vibrations attract more radiance into our life."
"This is an inspired and creative New Moon, being sextile Neptune and the asteroid Pallas Athene in Pisces...However, the New Moon is also conjunct Black Moon Lilith, a point in space that marks the farthest point of the Moon's orbit around the Earth (apogee). This conjunction activates a sense of being in the void; our comfort level with that nothingness will affect how we will experience the lunation.
The void is empty and formless, but it is also vastly creative, filled with potentials. Some of the keys to being at peace with the void are trust and faith, and a willingness to let go of the ego. Thankfully, these are qualities that Neptune and Pallas Athene are offering to us through their sextile to the New Moon."
"The New Moon in Taurus arrives on May 11th at 12pm PT. Ushering in a lush and verdant fresh start, the last New Moon before eclipse season, and an upcoming Mercury retrograde, this is a moment to work with. Packed with the fertilizing powers of the fixed earth sign, the New Moon in Taurus is an invitation we want to accept.
This week also brings us Jupiter’s entrance into Pisces, a profound shift for the planet of plenty. After spending the last 17 months in Saturn-ruled signs, the great benefic comes home. In Pisces, Jupiter is well-equipped to usher in a season of splendor.
Here for a brief stint before a longer stay, Jupiter will only be in Pisces from May 13th - July 28th, not to return again until the very end of the year. Working with this week’s astrology can bring about some good reward, as well as some deeply needed abundance."

"As an earth sign, Taurus energy is stabilizing and grounding. Taurus is a sign that calls you to connect to the earth to bring forth abundance, in both a literal and a metaphorical sense.
Taurus energy embodies stability and richness, and as you plant your intentions beneath this Taurus New Moon, don't forget to give thanks for the earthly pleasures already present around you."
Because Taurus is such a physical sign, this is a good time to get in touch with your body, and find ways to be in the present moment, enjoying the physical plane of existence.
Take heart from the words of spiritual visionary Pierre Teilhard de Chardin "You are a spiritual being having a human experience". The human experience can be full of beauty and small miracles, if we are awake, aware, and ready to notice them!
Looking for a way to bring you back into the present moment? Therapist Holly Schweitzer Dunn, LISW, recommends a quick check in with your senses. Briefly ask yourself:
Taking the time to simply notice, without judgment, what you are experiencing can take you out of habitual patterns of fearing the future (anxiety) or reliving the past (depression). Pair this with a few deep belly breaths, expanding the belly on the inhale and letting the belly fall on the exhale, to help you “reset” the nervous system.
"The beauty of the trees,
the softness of the air,
the fragrance of the grass
speaks to me.
The summit of the mountain,
the thunder of the sky,
the rhythm of the sea,
speaks to me...
And my heart soars."
