"To dance is to be out of yourself. Larger, more beautiful, more powerful." ~Martha Graham
"There are shortcuts to happiness, and dancing is one of them."
Purpose: To move your body in celebration of your truth, release what no longer serves, and ignite your inner fire for expansion and discovery.
When to do it: On the night of the Sagittarius Full Moon (or anytime within the 3-day window of its energy).
1. Create Your Sacred Space
Light your candle. Take a few breaths to ground yourself. Set an intention or invocation. Ask yourself: What do I want to expand into? What truth do I need to embody? What part of me is ready to be liberated? Write or recite out loud your intetion. For example:
“Under this Sagittarius Moon, I call in expansion, truth, fire, and freedom. May my body move with purpose and passion. May I release what binds me and embrace what calls me forward.”
2. Drop into the body
Before you begin your dancing, take a moment to feel your heart, your breath, and this intention that brings you here. Imagine the light of the full moon illuminating your space with what you need.
3. Dance!
Hit play on your playlist and begin to move. Let your body guide you. Shake off stuck energy. Leap, spin, stomp, stretch. Laugh or cry.
Let your movement tell a story—from what you’re letting go to what you’re moving toward.
Dance as if no one’s watching. Dance as a prayer. Dance as a release. Dance as a becoming.
4. Cool Down and Reflect
When the music slows or you feel complete, come to stillness. Sit or lie down. Breathe deeply. Feel what’s shifted.
Write a few reflections in your journal:
5. Offer It to the Moon
Close your practice with a moment of gratitude and reverence.
“I trust the path ahead. I walk forward with courage, openness, and joy.”
Blow out your candle as a seal of your movement ritual.
