Fluid Transcendence, Pisces New Moon 2/27/25

These days external chatter creates confusion, anxiety, discomfort. This based on everything that appears to be happening around us. As is often the case for people, we create a good deal of drama around stories that stir us up. We are plunged into a cesspool of emotion that has us churning endlessly in a mind game of what ifs, drama and often worst case scenarios. Our assumptions are based on hear say. Our thoughts lead us on a wild chase for the unknown, and incomprehensible. We push ourselves to an edge with no where to go but plummeting downward.

That is one perspective. Another is, my life unfolds according to what my mind conjures. My mind is clear and free of thoughts that inevitably draw on the past. Instead I am open to the unknown and a way forward that embraces infinite potential and possibility. My daily journey leads me to an edge that asks for acceptance and trust. Almost instantly, the edge disintegrates and I am left viewing a wide open landscape, light-filled and vacant of obstacles--limitless. I know, on a deep level, that obstacles exist only in my mind. The sun is always shining somewhere.

The ultra-human according to Teilhard de Chardin, appears at a time when humans transcend their present limitations. And to Nietzsche who spoke of the ‘ubermensch’, literally overman, it is self-overcoming; the self that is a construct based upon our centuries of conditioning.

Now we draw from an infinite source in ways that are made increasingly available to us. We look up and outward and over. We join the ever present slip stream that carries us away from and toward our vision, the realization of our deepest longing.

About this we find our selves in the right place at the right time. Checking briefly to see where I may have resistance with the intention of full steam ahead anyway! As resistance is the result of a thought that denies us the freedom to move with the ever present current of Life.

It happens that this New Moon at 9 degrees Pisces is a moment when we have an opportunity to explore our inherent sensitivity. There are five planets and north node in the last sign of the zodiac where initially there is a struggle to unite personality with spirituality in order that we might transcend our common limitations. Boundary-less, overflowing with compassion we are present to life and all of its ins and outs, ups and downs without being consumed by it, overwhelmed and exhausted by it.

Pisces navigates the limitless ocean of human experience to accomplish the self-overcoming that frees us from a mundane physical existence. Pisces is a mutable sign that is always moving with the ever-present flow that includes physical existence but is not that.

With Sun, Moon, Saturn, Mercury and Neptune lined up here there is great opportunity to immerse ourselves in levels of feeling that at times seem not to be useful. Openness to go there invites a touch, the reverberations of which have great reach. In the calm, peace of compassion we realize unity. We transcend the world of detail and are fully free to be. Thoughts in the depths of stillness cease to inform us.

Pisces has as many variables as every sign so that it is good to be aware of ‘where there is stillness there are also waves’. Deeply felt and recessed emotions can overwhelm those who have yet to fully express such content. Saturn in Pisces in the line-up, will demand attention to fears that lie sequestered. Dreams are a time to notice these fears and realize their origins. Again our thoughts are responsible for all of our habits and patterns that are burdensome.

The closest aspect to the Sun/Moon conjunction is a square to Jupiter in Gemini that will encourage openness, exploration and curiosity. The mutability of Gemini an air sign is always in favour of what’s next. And Jupiter inhabits and promotes higher awareness and expansion that embraces all that is possible. From the depths will rise our understanding of what ‘lies beyond’.

Sabian Symbol 9-10 degrees Pisces: So pertinent now. It is “an aviator pursues his journey, flying through ground-obscuring clouds.

A word to facilitate our journey during these few days around the New Moon—fluidity, Pisces, a mutable water sign demands that. Any thoughts that do not support the vision of freedom of discovery can exit just as quickly as they enter. No need to hold onto them!
