Prana is more than just the physical breath; it is Life Force (palpable and separate from the breath) and is the most important asset we possess since it keeps our bodies (which we cannot exchange out at a department store) healthy, strong and in a state of ongoing revitalization. It is a subtle but very powerful, potent force moving through our bodies and impacting every aspect of our being-ness. Often underestimated it is frequently unrecognized as manipulatable. However, in my intuitive healing and coaching practice, I teach clients how to work with their own pranic energy for cleansing and regenerating, for healing and wellness at all levels. There are a lot of ways to manage, and harness your pranic force. The power of rhythmic breathing was covered in a past article, but the mind is another tool for use in managing your subtle energy levels.

Energy (Prana) flows to where your attention goes. Managing your prana at the level of consciousness is one of the most effective means of healing any aspect of life. But it first means we must become aware of the attachments we have to our mind-stuff; and then become willing to de-attach. Having a masterful mind, means we develop the practice of seeing the tendency to obsess, worry, dialog, ruminate, chronicle, as a form of mental addiction. We tend to sometimes enjoy swimming in the worry, the details….talking about what he said, what she said”. It creates excitement; the a type of energy that gives us a lift, but it does little to change circumstances or heal life conflicts. Developing mastery involves seeing the ego wanting the mind to wallow in all of that and then being able to purposefully disengage that behavior.

What do you do when you see the need to disengage from the over active mind-stuff; to which we become very attached? Remember that energy follows consciousness, so pay attention to how your body feels when engaging in the worry. Notice what is hurting in your body and in your life, as a result of that thought process. When you can feel what part of your body (or life) is in suffering, purposefully choose an opposite thought from the negative one you were carrying, while focusing your attention on the area of your body or life that needs more panic flow; then breath rhythmically to move healing prana into that part of your body or life while holding good thoughts. Prana flowing into your body (and your life) has a re-vivfying, healing affect, and can produce miraculous results. I have used this technique to find a new place to live, to grow my business, to create more connection in relationship, to heal tense shoulders or headaches, etc.

You can also work it in reverse. Become aware of the part of your body or life that has pain or is in conflict or crisis. Be aware of the thoughts and feelings you have around these areas. When you can hear what your mind has been telling you, like a recording, you can simply say, “Erase, cancel and delete”. Then choose several good thoughts while focusing on the part of your body that had pain, or the part of your life that needs resolution. Breathe into the body while thinking good thoughts. Notice how much ease only 5 or 7 cycles of breathing, creates in the body and emotions. If you make this a practice, you may notice more miracles taking place around you and you’ll feel more masterful in designing your life with pranic consciousness and a masterful mind.

To mastering the mind-stuff and the inevitable increase in miracles such mastery shall bring you!
