March~The Past, The Present & The Future by Maggie Gressierer

Many people cling to the past as a way to avoid the uncertainty of the future. Some may be stuck in a job or a relationship that no longer support them effectively, yet they are afraid of seeking greater happiness. Clinging to the past, especially during times of change, is a prescription for suffering. The past may vote on our future, but should never have veto power, in our present reality!

Past Present Future

When we consciously learn from our experiences, we can use the past as a launch pad to learn from, grow and make more conscious choices as we move forward. On the other hand, when we cling to a past dream, hope or identity that no longer serves us, we miss an opportunity to evolve into wiser, happier, more fulfilled beings. It is particularly self-destructive when we cling to past sufferings or limitations, allowing these traumatic events to define us.

I believe that the past does not write the future unless we allow it to. In order to fulfill our potential, and enjoy life, we need to release any attachment to past pain. We can choose to use the past as a launch pad that propels us toward new possibilities that naturally emerge with change. We can use the wisdom gained from past learning to enjoy the present moment and step more confidently into the future.

It is a personal choice!

What do you see when you look back? If you only see suffering, you are still a prisoner of the past and it is time to change that! If you have found the gift hidden with past turmoil, you have used the past as a launch pad. We can use the principles of personal transformation to break free from the past and make the very changes in ourselves that we wish to see in the world around us. We can find ways to embrace this change happily and excitedly rather than with worry, fear and resentment!

Find your very own bright light within and I will happily help you along your transformational journey!
