May~Standards, Standards, Standards by Maggie Gressierer

My standards, your standards, whose standards are these anyway????

Did you ever find yourself caught up in adapting standards you never had before? Ideals which don't align with your values and beliefs simply because everyone else seems to have them?

What are your standards? We are all individuals and we all have different standards based on our beliefs, values, upbringing, education and social conditioning. Does it not seem strange though, that most of us seem to adapt to the standards of others, including groups, reality TV shows, magazine articles, simply because it is easy and convenient?

Our core beliefs speak volumes about how much we value and love ourselves and our surroundings, as well as the people who surround us. Do you, as you should, hold yourself in high regard? If not, why? And what can you do to change that? Remember, if your standards are low, the people and circumstances you attract will have lower vibration as well. Like attracts like....

Question yourself. Are the values you are adopting truly yours or do they belong to someone else? Is it in your highest and best interest to have them? Is there a particular area in your life where your standards are much lower than with all other aspects of your life?

Think about your true values for all aspects of your life; education, profession friends, family, general functions, daily activities, interactions, and even appearance. This may bring light to numerous aspects in your life to which you may have not devoted enough time or thought, but that may influence you deeply on a daily basis.

Please stop by Friday afternoons and share your thoughts on the topic with me. Seeee me for an appointment if you feel uneasy about some of your standards. We can figure out if you have any blocks preventing you from raising the bar and how best to achieve a new start!
