November Common Sense Astrology

Great things are done by a series of small things brought together.

Tips for almanac use: All the aspects can be felt in advance of the occurrence. It is good policy to view these as due dates for various energies and prepare accordingly for your context. It’s akin to bringing an umbrella with you when rain is expected, but it also helps us to not take the weather personally. When we proactively manifest these symbols then the world doesn’t have to do it for us. Choose to be con(with)-siderate(the stars).

Well, November is upon us sooner than ever. It seems a decently placid month, with a strong theme of adjusting and strengthening our relationships. There’s also a lot around clearing out the old to make way for something nicer. However, it does have a few booby traps if we aren’t paying attention or lose focus. May it help us all heal.

Venus sextiles Saturn and opposes Uranus on the 3rd at 1:31 am and 10:01 pm (pacific), stirring unrest and difficulties. Hopefully, we’ll be able to power through the push-pull of this to find new clarity around how we relate to others and how to best take care of ourselves. Be patient but real. The Sun trines Neptune on the 3rd at 12:23 pm (pacific), offering us a chance to take a refreshing break. The idea is to relax and unwind from the ongoing tumult and take some space to ourselves. Let it go. The Full Moon is on the 3rd at 10:23 pm (pacific) in 11 degrees of Taurus. This is a surprisingly relaxed lunation that mostly just asks us to catch up on rest and the mundane. Don’t get pulled into unnecessary drama. Tend the gardens. Mercury moves into Sagittarius on the 5th at 11:19 am (pacific), where he will be until January 10th. This will stimulate some decent shifts in our general perspective and trajectory. Contemplate where you want to be heading and what next to explore and learn. Venus moves into Scorpio on the 7th at 3:39 am (pacific), where she will be until December 1st. This makes for more emotional sensitivity for all, so niceness is recommended, but so is finding a good outlet for processing emotional buildup. Cry it out if need be. The Sun sextiles Pluto on the 9th at 4:08 am (pacific), frothing up some self-reexamination. We can let go of outdated self-conceptualizations and work on getting more current. Saturn trines Uranus on the 11th at 1:41 am (pacific), pushing and pulling us all over the place. This pits the urge for radical newness against the safety of the known. It’s a balance between not getting stuck in any ruts while not undoing long-term progress. Keep it on the even keel. Venus conjoins Jupiter on the 13th at 12:15 am (pacific), getting our hopes up and the dreams big. The idea is to practice gratitude for what we have while envisioning the best of what we would like to see manifest. Plant special seeds. Mercury squares Neptune on the 13th at 2:49 pm (pacific), muddying the waters of communication. Practice caution in dealing with others and ask for clarity before jumping to any conclusions. It would be better to spend time in solitude with a book or peaceful music. Venus trines Neptune on the 16th at 7:21 am (pacific), sponsoring another break from the tedium of reality. Make some time and space for yourself and do something that soothes and nourishes your being. Mercury sextiles Mars on the 17th at 6:25 am (pacific), getting us strategizing and planning our next moves. Talk things out with trusted friends and see if something interesting can be brainstormed. The New Moon is on the 18th at 3:42 am (pacific) in 26 degrees of Scorpio. This lunation is rather tricky as it’s asking us to make adjustments that won’t be obvious to us. Intuition will be crucial for navigating these waters wisely. Don’t take things too personally, but don’t take any crap either. Mars squares Pluto on the 19th at 4:11 am (pacific), pushing us to reconfigure how we assert our desires in relationships. First and foremost, practice caution, and don’t stir the pot where unnecessary. But do clear the air if need be and focus on the essentials of connecting with people. Venus sextiles Pluto on the 21st at 3:26 am (pacific), asking us to make more adjustments to our relationships. Practice kindness while working on cleaning out unprocessed emotion. The Sun moves into Sagittarius on the 21st at 7:05 pm (pacific). This season will focus on uncovering new depths in ourselves and figuring out how to share this new version. Don’t let old patterns drag you backwards. Neptune stations direct on the 22nd at 6:21 am (pacific), starting us down the path of resolution after a lot of release and haziness in the last 5 months. The idea is to get more grounded and practical whilst maintaining a sense of inner peace and stillness. Flow with it. Mercury trines Uranus on the 25th at 2:55 am (pacific), offering us a chance to arrive at novel solutions for some ongoing conundrums. As per usual, talk things out with someone you care about, but make sure to listen. Mercury conjoins Saturn on the 27th at 10:59 pm (pacific), tempting us towards judgment and doubt, or, letting us affirm our growth and progress and that of others. As always, be careful with communication, but don’t let people take advantage of your boundaries. Practice respect for reality in all its facets. So, yeah. November could be very tricky for some, but it should glide by without much notice for most. The focus is on the personal, rather than getting distracted by the world at large. Work on your issues and work on relaxing; rinse and repeat.
