Revealing the Light, Taurus Full Moon 11/15

“In the day there is but one light; in the night there are many.”

We are moving through uncharted waters. We are finding our way through the forest at night, with the twinkling stars as our guiding light.

Enter the last super full moon of 2024 in Taurus, near Uranus and the fixed star Algol (the head of Medusa), representing the light of innovation and liberation that emerges from the dark.

In the two weeks following this Full Moon, something will be revealed that has been unseen.

The astrological configuration is represented by four major arcana cards of the tarot: the Moon, the Hierophant, the Tower and the Empress. This is a symbolic meeting of Uranus, Moon and Venus (planetary ruler of Taurus).

Let’s take a deeper look at the meaning of these cards.

The Moon, The Hierophant, The Tower, and The Empress are powerful tarot cards that often speak to deep-seated themes of spiritual insight, transformation, revelation, abundance, creativity and self-love. Here’s what each represents individually and how they might interact together:

The Moon card from Rider-Waite Tarot Deck

1. The Moon

  • Themes: Intuition, illusion, subconscious fears, dreams, and mystery.
  • Symbolism: The Moon often reflects the hidden, shadowy aspects of the psyche and the unknown. It can bring attention to inner anxieties, confusing situations, or hidden truths that may be lurking beneath the surface. When this card appears, it suggests a time of heightened intuition but also warns against illusions or self-deception.
  • Advice: Trust your instincts, but also stay mindful of what may be clouded by fear or uncertainty. Allow yourself to explore emotions and dreams but avoid making decisions based on incomplete or unclear information.
The Hierophant from Rider-Waite Tarot Deck

2. The Hierophant (Taurus)

  • Themes: Tradition, structure, spiritual guidance, conformity, and teachings.
  • Symbolism: The Hierophant is often seen as a teacher or mentor figure, representing organized belief systems, spiritual institutions, and tradition. This card speaks to the value of learning from others, following established systems, and finding wisdom through spiritual or societal frameworks.
  • Advice: Seek guidance from trusted mentors or institutions, and consider what traditional wisdom might offer you in your current situation. The Hierophant also invites you to reflect on your beliefs and values and to make choices that are aligned with them.

3. The Tower (Uranus)

  • Themes: Sudden upheaval, revelation, breaking down of illusions, and transformation.
  • Symbolism: The Tower represents a sudden and often shocking change that dismantles something you once thought was stable. This card is about breaking down outdated structures and beliefs to make room for new, more authentic foundations. While it can feel chaotic or unsettling, it ultimately serves to clear away what no longer serves you.
  • Advice: Embrace change, even if it feels uncomfortable, and understand that disruptions are often opportunities for growth. Let go of anything that’s holding you back and allow space for fresh beginnings.
The Empress (tarot card) - Wikipedia

4. The Empress (Venus)

  • Themes: Fertility, creativity, nurturing, abundance, and divine feminine energy.
  • Symbolism: The Empress is the archetype of the Great Mother, representing the creative life force, sensuality, and the nurturing aspects of nature and the self. She brings comfort, growth, and emotional fulfillment. The Empress also signifies a time when ideas or projects bear fruit, or when you connect more deeply to self-care, beauty, and pleasure.
  • Advice: Embrace your creative instincts and focus on areas where you can nurture growth. Whether it's a project, relationship, or aspect of yourself, The Empress encourages you to treat it with compassion, care, and patience. This card is a call to tap into your divine feminine energy and prioritize self-love and nourishment.

Combined Meaning

Together, these cards suggest a transformative journey, one that involves a deep inner exploration (The Moon), a questioning or restructuring of your beliefs (The Hierophant), and potentially a complete upheaval of old paradigms (The Tower). You may find yourself in a period of spiritual or personal awakening, uncovering truths about yourself or your path that require a dismantling of outdated beliefs or systems in your life. The Hierophant’s presence hints that there may be a spiritual guide or practice to lean on, helping you navigate the mystery of The Moon and the chaos of The Tower.

Overall, these cards encourage you to look within, seek wisdom, and prepare for significant change. This combination reflects a journey of release, illumination, and spiritual renewal.

With The Empress softening the scenario of this full moon, the cards tell a story of profound change and self-discovery, but also of abundant renewal and growth. Although you may go through periods of inner exploration and upheaval, you’re ultimately building a foundation of personal strength, creativity, and love.

Besides this charged Full Moon, Pluto, which has been transiting Capricorn for 16 years, is moving into the air sign Aquarius on November 19th.

The last time Pluto landed in Aquarius prior to our lifetimes were the years 1778 through 1798, the two decades that saw the American Revolution, the French Revolution, and the beginning of the Industrial Revolution.

It was also the period when the planet Uranus was discovered.

On a mundane, collective level, we are to expect civil unrest, AND massive technological innovation and inventions that can help heal disease.

In our personal lives, things will not be as dramatic, however, there is undoubtedly big breakthrough energy in the coming weeks for all of us.

I wish to share a magical ritual and recipe that will help nurture and ground you during this time by focusing on sensual Venusian delights.

Apple Abundance Magic 101

Are you ready to open your heart to abundance of all kinds?

Apple magic is one of the easiest and most delicious ways to promote the growth of love & abundance within and around you!

Taurus is the most sensual of signs and this special recipe will activate all of your senses, your heart, and of course your magic.

When you slice a luscious, red apple in half at its equator, at the center lies a hidden pentagram formed by five seeds. The apple core is known as “ Stars of Knowledge” by the Roma peoples (popularly referred to as “gypsies”).

Venus herself appears in the symbol of the five pointed star, known as the pentagram: a powerful representation of protection and manifested abundance. Five is one of the numbers associated with Venus because of her association with the pentagram and the pentacle in the tarot.

Venus rules the earth sign Taurus, which symbolizes the epitome of sensuality, beauty and love in our own lives.  During this full moon, Venus will be flowing generous energy for all manner of manifestation as she is in Capricorn, a fellow Earth sign.

Begin by holding your apple and thinking of your true heart’s desire. Visualize your wish coming true for as long as you like, imagining each detail so you begin to feel and embody your desire. The purpose of this is to evoke deep and strong feelings of love & gratitude. When you feel all nice, warm and tingly, send that energy into your apple.

Now, it’s time to incarnate that energy by taking a bite. The eating of the apple represents becoming one with your desired wish.

If you enjoy a raw apple you can take a bite and then slice it up and offer a sliver to Venus on your altar or shrine space. Eat each slice as if you are offering your true love the food of the goddess … because, in fact you are!

I love to slice them up, sprinkle them with something sweet (honey, brown sugar, stevia or monk fruit), and add vanilla paste/extract, cinnamon, nutmeg, clove and cardamom. I mix it all up, put the spiced apples in a baking dish with 4–5 pads of butter on top and then bake for 30 minutes at 350. Stir the apples after 15 minutes to make sure all the slices get coated by the melted, buttery goodness.

Tip: don’t slice the apple pieces too thin. Cut them at about ⅓ to ½ inch thick.

(Optional yumminess: add hot apples to Vanilla ice cream and pour on a bit of melted caramel sauce.)

The baked apple slices make the kitchen smell divine and attract Venusian abundance of all kinds: love, money, joy and delight.

Although this full moon is intense, you’re invited to connect deeply with yourself and allow the nurturing, loving energy of The Empress to guide you through these times of uncertainty, ensuring that transformation leads to a fertile, fulfilling new chapter.

Blessed be.
