Black Madonna[/caption]
The energies of the Winter Solstice and the lunar eclipse continue to draw us into the potency of the darkness and all it has to offer: occurring 4 days before the celebration of Christ’s birth, inviting us to release into the darkness of Mother's womb, awaiting the birth of the Son/Sun, and preparing for the partial solar eclipse and new moon on Jan 4th. This is the stuff of mythic proportion!
This new year is bringing with it another opportunity to let go and allow the old to drop away so that the new may arise. The Archetypal energy that is streaming through at this time is that of the Black Madonna, the Dark Goddess, the Creator Destroyer/Purifier in all her fierce faces of Love. This is not the symbol of the Goddess or Great Mother that feels nurturing, comforting and embracing. She is the one that Dances in the Fire releasing all that continues to keep us in the dream. She is the Liberator that sets us free from the world of duality.
To the awakened, her destructive energies are seen as a vehicle of liberation and ultimate transformation. This aspect of the destroyer actually represents the death of death. She only appears terrifying to the ego because she threatens destruction of the ego's illusions about it's real nature.
She is inviting us to dive deep into the darkness of our unconscious and reveal our shadow parts that have played out in our resistance to Love. Allow the fires of transformation to transmute all density and darkness into Light. Reunite and heal all aspects of the Divine Masculine and Divine Feminine so that we may Dance in Oneness and birth Heaven on Earth. Join in Spirit and Matter (Mother) and return to our Holy innocence as the Divine Child. Awaken to the wonder and awe of this New Day, this New Year, this New You !
May we continue to dance in the flames and open to the Dark Goddess in the Transformation of Consciousness.
Happy New You!
Blessing to one and all!
For a deeper understanding of these energies and how they are playing out in the collective mind, I recommend Dancing in the Flames, by Marion Woodman and Elinor Dickson.
