What Does It Take to Be at Peace by Anna Chapman

The more I tuned in directly to love, the more I could see that love is the light of our mind. It is a pristine state of consciousness that has zero mass…love is what you experience when you empty your mind of attachments to judgment, self-criticism, unworthiness, resentment, cynicism and fear.

~Robert Holden, Lovability

We are continually in a process of realization and release; realization that I am not my thoughts and seeing to what degree they influence my experience, how they create my beliefs and how they have the potential to paralyze me. How to be free of the limitations of the mind and free to be love? This is the path we travel through life that includes the deepening of self-knowing. Self-knowing pacifies the mind.

The purpose of life is to be at peace, to Love all beings, and know who you are.

~Sri H.W.L. Poonja (Papaji, This)

What does it take to be at peace? If we ask this question and go deep within and listen, there is the answer. If you succeed in avoiding attachment to thoughts you will perceive stillness where no agenda exists, no effort required, where crystal clarity numbs belief and dissolves memory. Peace is the quiet mind and here we are free. Perhaps it takes practice. Practice produces muscle memory. Many successful people practice their passions diligently. Musicians, singers, dancers, athletes practice their gifts over and over. This is not to say that practicing peace of mind will produce self-realization but it may begin to deconstruct the thought structures that have been developed over millennia. Practicing to allow thoughts to move in and out freely is a step toward knowing that we are not these thoughts but what is when the thoughts no longer ‘control’ us.

When the thoughts no longer control us we dance the dance of life always moving as the infinite, eternal, absolute.

There is the space in which to know the energy, the love that pervades all things.

When we know the love that is our true nature or what is sometimes referred to as unconditional love, there is a deep sense that no matter what occurs in our external experience, this love, is always. I am always “that”, that is, all is that.

Enthusiasm, joy, appreciation and gratitude of even the smallest expressions of that fill awareness as we rise with the dawn then again find our way inward as the sun sets. Here we are blessed with the deep quiet of the senses engaged without judgment or analysis or identification. The cells not bound by flesh or bone but alive with every appearance here, no limitations.

As Saturn continues its journey through Sagittarius perceived limitations give way to understanding that truth stands alone as what is, here and now—questions, seeking desists. All of our so called struggles are seen as resistance to what is. We exhale with relief and melt into grace.

ten of wands

The 10 of Wands exemplifies this understanding. All of the burdens we have so diligently carried upon shoulders deeply muscled are released knowing that any attempt to do anything that will have an affect on any situation, thing or person for the gratification of my ego is pointless. Everything is as it should be. No effort on my part has any affect on that which is already and always perfect! 10 is the number of completion. When we realize the aforementioned we are free to live in ease and grace.

Saturn at 16 degrees Sagittarius squares the New Moon at 18 degrees Pisces on March 8 (5:54 p.m. PST). This square stimulates maturation and a greater desire to be released from any sense of obligation to anything but the realization of self. This aspect signals a shift in collective consciousness from Christ as the saviour to the Christ within that negates any need for salvation. Energy flows and we are astonished by the breadth and depth of love given and received.

six of cups

The 6 of Cup, gentle, open, the giving and receiving of love that inherently is our desire. It is the card of unconditional love that in the moment is without judgment or ego consideration. 6 is the number that represents, ‘as above, so below’ and the perpetual flow that is known, as mentioned previously, when there is no resistance to “that”.

As we turn toward Vernal Equinox (March 19, 09:31 p.m. PST) and the Sun moving into Aries trine its ruler Mars, we are fluent with optimism, courage and energy. We cast our nets certain of the abundance of our catch. The desire to share that catch is amplified.

knight of wands

Knight of Wands, the spiritual warrior, journeys forth with knowing. Certain of his actions as the ‘will of God’, he has no fear. His courage and generous heart inspire and ignite the same in others. Fire, the element of Wands purifies and transforms that which does not serve us, opening us to the creative and dynamic forces that are potentially available to all of us in this physical form.

Daylight hours increase in March and we eagerly breathe deeply to partake of the effervescence percolating all about us. Vigorous and renewed we leap all hurdles smoothly and effortlessly, observant as ‘our cup of love overfloweth’, an offering of harmony and peace for anyone who desires to sip or quaff from the eternal reservoir.

May the journey be one of ease and grace. Thank you for your presence!
