"Change, new beginnings are what this new moon, solar eclipse in Aries is all about. The first sign of the zodiac, I seek Self, is committed to self mastery, independent, courageous authenticity. It is in exact conjunction with Chiron, the wounded healer at 19 degrees 24 minutes Aries. Therefore we seek to heal our wound to the ‘I am’. The new moon is also close to conjuncting the north node (15 degrees Aries). The north node is where we achieve the greatest growth. Understanding the nature of self in relationship to Self provides us the avenue for knowing that there is no this (self) or that (Self). All is the same/one. No separation. We are freed from limiting patterns generated by the concept of self as a real entity to which things happen. This has promoted victim mentality.

Total Solar Eclipse in Aries 19°22 | Monday 4/8/2024 - Totality at 11:18 a.m. PT

On April 8, 2024, a total solar eclipse will cause the moon's shadow to sweep across North America, creating a celestial spectacle visible from major cities across the continent. During a total solar eclipse, the Moon blocks the Sun’s bright face — the photosphere — briefly revealing our star’s outer atmosphere: the shimmering corona, or “crown.” Made of rarefied gas heated to millions of degrees, with its atoms highly ionized (stripped of electrons), the diaphanous corona gets sculpted into streamers and loops by the Sun’s powerful magnetic field and shines with a light seen nowhere else. It is hauntingly beautiful and, without doubt, one of the most awesome sights in all of nature. During these moments, known as totality, you might even hear crickets chirping. And if you look up, you'll see the sun looks like an ominous black disk in the sky, with a faint glow all around it. A ritual for balancing the Manipura chakra:

~To begin, gather a  yellow candle, incense (sandalwood, ginger, or cinnamon), and a Clear Quartz or Citrine crystal.

~Find a quiet and comfortable space where you won't be disturbed. Wear comfortable clothing that allows you to relax and breathe deeply.

~Light the yellow candle and the chosen incense. Hold the clear quartz or citrine crystal in your hands. Take a few deep breaths, grounding yourself in the present moment. Close your eyes and set your intention for the ritual.

~Visualize the Manipura chakra as a vibrant yellow wheel of energy spinning at your solar plexus. Close your eyes and visualize a warm, golden light radiating from the crystal, filling your entire body with its healing energy. Imagine this golden light flowing into your solar plexus, clearing away any blockages or imbalances in the manipura chakra.

~As you breathe deeply, affirm to yourself: "I am confident. I am empowered. I am worthy of my personal power." Stay in this meditative state for as long as you feel comfortable, allowing the energy of the crystal to nourish and balance your manipura chakra.
