In these powerfully transformative times there appears to be some equally powerful symbolic spiritual support coming from the heavens above. Things have been difficult and they do not appear to be lightening up, and yet, we seem to be receiving reminders that it is in our own hearts where we can find the light we need.At the tail end of the recent visit by an asteroid we hadn’t expected we experienced a powerful full moon and shortly thereafter headed through the Lion’s Gate, the August alignment of Orion’s belt over the pyramids of Giza broadcasting the outpouring of powerful unconditional love and heart activation from the star Sirius.

The Lion’s Gate opens late July into early August (8/8) when the star Sirius appears closest to our planet and floods us with unconditional love activating the lion heart in each of us. Sirius is twice as bright and 26 times as big as our sun and is assisting us during this incredible time of transition to align with who we ARE, and truly BE the light we want to see in the world. We are the ones we have been looking for.I first became aware of the Lion’s Gate in 2011 when I was working with Star Flower & Gem Essences, and only gave it a cursory glance. This year it has my attention; especially in regards to the connection with the star card from the sun and moon tarot which pictures a huge merkahbah star in the sky over the pyramids in Egypt; how did I not see this relationship before? I got the connection.The star is the card of the sign of Aquarius, which is directly across from the sign of Leo in astrology; it is it’s partner, Aquarius is the “we” to the “me” of Leo. And the picture on the card portrays this beautifully as the mermaid pours water while looking across the distance toward the pyramids and the giant star shines over them all.

And in the current chaotic world, I’ve needed to feel that unconditional love and receive the divine intelligence that pours down on us from our own sun as well as from Sirius. How wonderful the universe arranged it:I attended a sound healing on the evening of the 7th (planned when I wasn’t even aware of the auspicious timing, and neither were the hosts), followed by a meditation/activation at 1:08am on August 8th coinciding with an 8:08pm event in New Zealand which I decided to attend only a few days before, and then was on the chiropractic table at 8am, a Saturday appointment due to a work schedule change. Then I slept all day aligning & integrating the energies physically and ended the day with dinner with dear friends and a glass of wine. And I am still integrating.The Lion’s Gate came as a pleasant surprise to me because I had been focused on the August 18 new moon, the impetus for this article, which was catalyzed in July with this video “August 18 Leo New Moon ♌ A Force of Higher Love, Soul Power, and Creation” by Molly McCord.

A Powerful Call to Love
Since the solar eclipse of August 2017, I have learned so much about myself, about the world and about love. The energies of that eclipse catalyzed the end of a relationship that I had thought was THE ONE, and that heartbreak which came to fruition on Epiphany (just after the fires of 2017 were cooling down and a day before the floodslide of January 2018) broke my heart open so wide I finally understood what love is. I learned to love myself and to love life, and to trust love itself. I broke open to love.I feel it so powerfully, this return to love, this call to love that is embracing me, in the face of all of the chaos and pain and fear of the COVID19 pandemic with the falling of the old structures while the new structures emerge. Regardless of what we/I think is happening or fear or even wish is happening, what is really happening is the unfolding of more love, which has always been the case, whether it has appeared so or not.

And if you, dear ones, also need to feel the love the cosmos is pouring in on us right now, take a moment to just sit and look up at the night sky. Find your star, the one you polished up before you came to this planet so you’d remember why you came and open your heart to that love shining down on you. It helps.

Whether we remember or not, our spirit chose to be here on this planet, in these bodies, during this incredible time of transformation, in order to be an integral part of the birth of a new paradigm. We are the love we have been searching and waiting for, all of our lives.Let’s make a new moon intention to love: to being open to love, to open to being loved, to love being open and watch as our intentions build into fruition with the moon as it heads to full and blossoms in the world around us with love abounding.
